    Re: Off-Topic

Recently I saw some viral news story about some wildlife in someones backyard. They had a video and when I watched it I thought it looked familiar.

Then it hit me, that's a yard a few houses down, and what they've seen is what I've been seeing too.

I don't care much for posting videos online and getting views and all that. I have a good video relating to this that definitely would've gotten views, maybe gone viral.

It is called "The Walking Dead Survivors". It is just a good time waster. I like the other ones more (like No Man's Land), but I want to try and play this from the beginning, for a long time. I never get into a game from the start and stick with it.

so I was at a local thrift store earlier this morning, just checking out what cheap used books they had at the moment. found one to my liking, total cost 2 dollars and a quarter. I give the lady my exact amount, she starts putting the little marker to the one dollar bills checking for counterfeit. I'm thinking, who in the blue hell passes off counterfeit one dollar bills. I half expected her to bite the quarter to see if it was real too

              So....was it a counterfeit quarter?

But seriously, chances are they're only doing it because it's happened before.

but still, who gives a ****? if you're worried about being scammed out of hundreds or thousands, sure, makes sense, but $2.25?

mattafack, people should be allowed to use counterfeit currency if your total is under $5

But chances are, someone probably did accept counterfeit currency in the past and got it docked from their pay. For all you know it was $20 or something.

Usually this type of stinginess comes from something higher up said or did. Doubt some random cashier would do that for no reason.

Unless it happened to them once, and they said nevermore!

There's literally millions of gnats everywhere!

I've seen so many grouped together, it legitimately looks like a cartoon where all those flies eventually come together and form shape/object and attack

Haven't made an update on my apartment lately. This last week all the trees and shrubbery behind the building got chopped down. Survey crews have been out doing their measurements, and I have no idea what they're up to.

Not my usual update but it's been awhile, figured I'd give something. So much construction lately, I hate when they don't put signs up, I'm too curious, I wanna know what's up lol

side note: the feral cats have been displaced and I wonder what they'll do, too, they lived back there and it's all gone now

With it being spring and "mating season", the news did a story on the wildlife within residential areas.

To sum it up, let's just say their advice to people who hate having birds attacking them, raccoons destroying their property and other things happening is to "suck it up and learn to live with it", because it's illegal for someone whether they be the resident or a specialist, to remove the animal(s) from the premises.

Great...so guess I'm spending my May wearing a construction helmet to take out the garbage to avoid being dive bombed, and carrying a shield whenever I go near my shed to fend off raccoons.

If you know what type of birds they are, look up what their natural predators are and play audio of that from your phone to scare them off? Worked for me when I had to chase some robins away a few years back.

No idea what to do about raccoons.

I know the kind of the bird it is, and staring at it does stop it from diving at you, but when every time I step foot on the driveway or do virtually anything outdoors I'm "at risk" of getting attacked unless I stare at it (or do your suggestion of playing audio), it does get annoying.

You Know You're Getting Old When:

you drop food on the floor, but have to throw it away
because you can't pick it back up within the time frame of the 3 second rule.

I feel like this is one of those hard and fast rules where you shouldn't use House Rules and up the limit to say, 15 seconds

I always try to find silver linings and at least now I'm finally shedding the few extra pounds I've needed to for so long
