I've more or less walked away from using anything resembling a real roster in this game; I'm going strictly with 15 yr simmed franchises (at least for now). I'm sure that it has some effect on what I'm seeing. Guys are just 'juiced' in base rosters; which makes things more easily exploitable for the user. At a minimum, if you haven't, get into year 2....see if things settle for you (the game is often more unstable in year 1 franchises)

That said.....

Ineligible Receiver Downfield (IRD) is a new addition to the game...QB play has been "off" all cycle (all of our machinations in this thread have essentially been built around this one issue tbh). It makes sense that the "new setting" is the culprit for the issues we've experienced (and we know EA rarely works on QB AI mid-cycle)....it just hasn't been addressed. When I first tested the tweak to IRD, I waffled back and forth between leaving Ball Hawk on or off. If I recall correctly, I went with it off because I liked how coverage looked more than with it on. That said, the better coverage is, the worse CPU QB play can be....so there is a tipping point.

Remember, "on" is the game's default setting for BH. Turning it off makes the CPU QBs throw more into tight windows (among other things)...that said, with them now in-sync with the other setting turned off, it may very well tip things the other way. I've certainly seen at least some evidence of what you're seeing (I just haven't played M20 much lately). Try it with it turned "on" and see how it goes for you.

It definitely does suck so many people that work so hard on getting great games and other things with custom sliders and we just can’t get it perfect and enjoyable lol

Late to the party. But from what I've read, 10-15 year sim. On default all pro sliders?

Afraid not Tommy. For lack of a better word, the game is playing in-sync with it off. QBs are throwing more on-time so every aspect of the game looks more "on-time" (i.e. every aspect of the game is impacted). The AI seems to be optimal when everything follows an "expected timing"...that timing has been 'off' all cycle and it manifests in a number of downstream effects. Matt identified an anomalous QB animation 'hitch' that was tied to this slider; which is what began causing a ton of the wonky QB behaviors.

A little more than that on the sliders, gotta follow the OP exactly on the game settings, 2 key changes really have an impact. But yes, it's all based around All Pro Default.

The 15 year sim is something I highly endorse; but it is not a requirement at all.

Yes. I figured since 98% of the stuff was unchanged i wasnt going to mention it.

Would downloading a fiction roster bypass the sim aspect? Or is the purge a way of cleansing the game and having a blank slate more or less?

Also would you reccomend staying away from pre made draft classes once you begin playing post 15 year sim?

I'm not aware of a fictional roster being out there; there's a good chance that even if one is out there, that it will too closely follow EA's rating paradigm...so same issues, different players. I'd still recommend cleansing the franchise. Definitely at least give the sim a shot and see how it plays for you and decide from there....I think lots of people would be pleasantly surprised at what it does.

And I also recommend staying away from user-created draft classes under all circumstances. But, that's certainly up to you...it's just that every custom class I've seen has too many SS and X-factor guys; which can immediately begin imbalancing the mode.

It’s crazy how much better the game is after year 1 period.i hardly test in the first season anymore. Usually sim to year 2 and test in week one reg season. There’s a notable difference too. If people even knew how good the game was 15 years in like they say, if that was the game we got on launch day, if it played like that, Madden would get praise it’s never seen before.

Thanks for the reply on the ineligble man penalty.

Re: JoshC1977's Madden 20 CFM-only Sliders (User vs CPU Only)

Josh, I just saw ineligble man called in a game. I checked main menu, it was still turned off. Just wondered if this was an anomaly. It happened on an RPO play. I think it was the slant RPO. Not sure. It happened fast and I didn’t get a replay because it was a penalty.

Cool that the penalty still gets called with it being off and it’s cool what it being off does to qb play. I’m also having success with Intentional grounding off in MM and CFM.

Hi friend @JoshC1997,

Your sliders are always a1 and the most realistic. Most balance of everything.

Also I don't have do a 10 year sim at all?
