Re: Madden NFL 15 PS4/XB1 Wishlist

Create A Stadium - Remember when Madden first announced Owner Mode, and Create A Stadium was suppose to have "billions of options". I want that. No more premade stadiums, or limited design options of just picking what kind of press box you want, or if you want a dome or a open air roof. I was an endless amount of options, I want a Create A Stadium mode that will only get better for every future Madden title released. What Create A Stadium should be like; Look at the Sims 3 for instance and how many different options you have for building a house, from the floor to the walls, siding, and roof the options are endless, I want that for stadium design, I want to be able to make any size of a field, be a regular size field of a football stadium, soccer stadium, or a baseball field like used in Oakland, with the options to have sections that expand for football, I also want to be able to create old baseball stadiums that don't have seats that expand stadiums like the old Tiger Stadium the Lions played at

Or stadiums like the old Cleveland Municipal Stadium

Maybe the old Yankee Stadium that had the Greatest Game ever Played

Not only the ability to recreate any of the past football stadiums, but also new futuristic stadiums, ones like the Saints, the Falcons, a new LA team might have. This all plays into having the "Create a Team" feature listed below, all these add to is the replay value of playing online with these classic teams or in stadiums of the future. Just look at the WWE 2k14 game, it has a "Create A Arena" feature, yet its limited, but still it adds to the replay value of the game, it gives endless options as to what can be done. Not to mention the new fans the Madden series could bring to the series with the classic teams idea listed below, along with classic stadiums. The Madden series already has retro jerseys to use, why not add stadiums to go with it?

Superstar Mode (Myplayer Mode or Story Mode) - Superstar mode use to be fun, it always had its flaws, but just look at what 2k Sports has done with My Player mode, I want a full on return of Superstar mode, with all the cut scenes, storylines, and the work needed to be a star.

Custom Jersey Design - Who wants just custom schemes of the current jerseys, have you ever seen the custom jerseys people have made online, or like the Nike Pro Combat jerseys? I want something like what NCAA had with custom team logos, where a logo can be uploaded on the EA Sports site and put into the game as a team logo, but instead for jerseys, kind of like what the PS2 Madden had with custom jerseys for created teams. The more options the better.

Training Camp!! - OK so connected franchise mode has practice mode, but it also needs training camp, it was one of the best things about Owner Mode on the PS2, it needs a full blown return.

Scouting Combine & Rookie Game - A scouting combine is so needed, lets be realistic all 32 teams in the draft know the speed of all the players in the draft, and how high they can jump, its what a scouting combine is needed for, give everyone a chance to learn all the players stats, but make people work for it, scouting seems broken when you cant find out all the players speed, just has to be a way to make it so people can find out everyones ratings, maybe not all ratings, maybe use questions & interviews to figure out some ratings.

In Season Mini Games - This would go along with how Training Camps always worked, but in season mini games for such things as injury recovery, weight training, and general practices that teams do during the week.

Connected franchise Practice Mode!! - Did you know most people have to play the current practice mode and then quit just before it ends, just so they can actually get some practice with their new team before the weekly game is due. PS2 always had practice mode where you can play the same as offline practice mode with unlimited plays to run, Madden badly needs it back.

Online Practice Mode - What better way to work on your game then pratice mode against a friend, well why not play a friend online in pratice mode? Not only does regular online play need it with updated rosters, but connected franchise mode badly needs it.

Export Connected franchise Team!! - Those of us in connected franchise mode loves to use our connected franchise mode team, please bring back the export feature at least to use connected franchise teams in unranked games!

Create A Fan - How fun would it be to create a fan with a brown bag over his head saying "Fire Reid" referring to while he was coaching for the Eagles, this would need to be part of connected franchise mode, would really make some fun when playing in a 32 person league and being able to see other teams created fans, and don't limit it to just 1 fan, should be able to make many many fans. And allow for some fans to be in different parts of the stadium and used in cut scenes, kind of like how it worked on the PS2.

Create A Team (or exspansion teams) - The NFL has long talked about adding teams. How fun would connected franchise mode be if when you started you could add 2-8 more teams to the league, pick the cities, let the new owners create new stadiums and so on. And please allow for nearly unlimited slots of created teams, with custom stadiums and custom teams the options are endless for teams of the past 50+ years to be created, along with the stadiums they played in.

Custom Divisions - Not only when a league starts, but add an options to edit divisions before starting a new season.

Classic Teams - Madden has a long history of having classic teams. Please bring back classic teams even with all the #s instead of real names, its what Roster Share is for! But not only add the classic teams, add the stadiums they played in. And the fun it could be if a custom connected franchise mode was possible replacing current teams with classic teams. Maybe if only for one season.

Sidelines - Please make sidelines as realistic as possible, and having all player faces looking the same doesn't cut it, having some players with no names, and others with names also doesn't cut it for the sidelines.

NFL's Greatest Games Mode - This goes along with classic teams, add the games that made these teams classcs, between "the greatest game ever played" to Superbowl 1,2,3 and some of the many other classic Superbowl games, to the Drive, the Catch, the Fog Bowl, Ice Bowl, and so on, this is a mode that Madden badly needs!! Just look at what 2k Sports has done with its classic teams. Its about time Madden does the same! You already have Madden Ultimate Team, its time to take it to the next step.

User Created Draft Classes - Since there may not be a NCAA game, please add a feature for user created draft classes, allow for these to be created on the EA website maybe? This could also be something useful if custom set up connected franchise's were allowed with custom teams, or classic teams. Like for instance; 32 teams from 2001 are created via roster share & create a team, then those 32 teams are put into a connected franchise, a 2002 custom draft class, then 2003 custom draft class could be used, giving unlimited potential for the fun to be had in CCM.

Custom Soundtracks - Madden needs custom in game sounds for connected franchise. like custom touchdown music, kickoff music, music for first downs.

Celebration attribute. I remember one year they had a "swag" rating. So players like Desean Jackso or Steve Smith will have high attribute and do all the funny dances when they score. Whereas someone like Calvin Johnson will have a low rating and will high five his teammates and give the ball back to the ref. Nothing is more ridiculous than seeing Eric Decker or Eli Manning doing the cat daddy. And please for have them occur in real time. No more cutscenes like its Tecmo Bowl.

For living worlds they need to add The dog pound to Cleveland and the. Black Hole in Oakland ect. That would be so cool. Also mouthpieces.

Re: Madden NFL 15 PS4/XB1 Wishlist

I agree with just about everything in this thread, but cloth physics while they would be cool, are something that needs to be lower on the priority list.

First and foremost, animations and physics, these need to be the highest priority for Madden 15. Realistic animations are what make the game feel real, the reason that games from years ago can still look realistic today, are because of great animation quality. The physics on next gen need to be much cleaner and there shouldn't be any silly stuff happening any more in year 3 of physics.

The next gameplay issue, is wr/db interactions, we need to see more hand fighting, more catch animations, wrs and dbs bobbling then catching/dropping the ball,holding/tugging of jerseys, etc..

Continue to work on o/d line play, true step, add more user controlled pass rush animations, change the passing game to work based on routes, use the NBA Live Bouncetek to make the ball no longer tethered to WRs.

Fix player models and add a ton of face scans, no more wide shouldered qb's, and unrealistic player models. We need face scans for almost every player, at least 60% of the game should have real faces, not 30% like it is now. If not every, almost every starting player should have a real face scan on next gen.

Presentation and commentary must be improved, play by play needs to be more player specific, for Touchdowns, say the player's name not just the team name. Instead of Touchdown Packers, say Touchdown Packers, then player's name. For pass plays, say "Rodgers drops back to pass, has a man open, it's Jordy Nelson, Nelson at the 40, the 30, the 20, the 10, Touchdown Packers, Jordy Nelson. Then on the replay, have Phil say something like "Jim, that was a great read by Aaron Rodgers, he finds Jordy Nelson who beat his man easily, open for the easy Touchdown."

Living Worlds are supposedly a base level entry this year, well they need some upgrades next year big time. We need to see more indiscernible crowds, more jersey numbers, most teams fans should have at least 6 or more jerseys, add women and children character models. Add cherleaders, add team flags, add more weather appropriate attire for the crowds and the sidelines, add more attire for coaches. Have the sidelines react to every play good or bad. Get rid of cutscenes, have the coaches and players roaming, talking, yelling, jumping up and down, fist bumping, chest bump, throwing helmets, clipboards, headsets, etc... Bring emotion to Madden!

There needs to be a pregame, halftime, post game overhaul, redo presentation completely for these three elements. Keep Nantz and Simms on screen in pregame, but add more lines, have them discuss keys to the game in pre-game, have them also come onscreen at halftime and do a first half recap, keys to second half. During post game, have Nantz and Simms actually recap THAT game, not just some random post game commentary. Have them talk about the biggest plays and the player of the game. Have a player of the game interview in post game with real players audio, if NBA 2k can do it, Madden can too.

Add a weekly wrapup show for Connected Franchise, with highlights, league news, game recaps and previews, playoff pictures, mvp races, injury reports, etc...

Game specific atmosphere AI-From preseason to the Super Bowl, each game should have AI that drives the way the commentary, players, sidelines, and crowds react. The crowd should react accordingly to what importance the game has to their fans, during the biggest regular season matchups, Playoffs, and ultimately Super Bowl, the crowds should be amped during the pregame, go nuts after their team scores, and then at times act/sound nervous when the opposing team scores. The commentary should match this, and their excitement level should go from almost dull in the preseason to ecstatic in the postseason. The players on the field and on the sidelines need to be fully aware of the game's importance as well, show players on the sideline celebrating together after a big win, or dropping their heads in defeat, we should be able to see the excitement or disappointment in their eyes, body language etc.. Add different celebrations/disappointments for regular season and Playoffs, Super Bowl, make it dynamic and have great variety.

For Connected Franchise add a weekly injury report system where you can list a player as out, doubtful, questionable, probable, and depending on the performance of the player, you will receive a grade for your coaching decision each week. If a injured player gets hurt worse, have the coaches decision making rating drop and his overall approval rating drop. If the injured player performs well, then the coaches decision making and approval rating will go up.

Fix the challenge/replay system to where we can challenge any play according to if it would be able to be challenged in real life. Let us choose what we want to challenge, spot of the ball, fumble, WR had possession of the ball, feet in bounds, etc...

Fix the penalty system, add unnecessary roughness, defensive holding, illegal block in the back, illegal use of hands, illegal receiver down field, etc...

Davis82 - in my opinion your point about emotion is huge. This can be created in so many different ways. Whether it's living worlds, presentation, commentary, and much more and right now madden basically doesn't do it at all

agree 10000% with everything u have here. But #1 (gameplay wise) really needs to be wr/db interaction and ball physics. The tips in the game are really bad because it feels like players hands will warp to balls and sometimes catch them while they are on the ground. This gives the game a bad 'scripted' feeling. Next gen madden feels great, but the ball physics and the way the wr and db's interact still keep it behind other titles in terms of realism.

also something that often goes unsaid here is the catching. We really need a lot more catching animations as well as variety of catches. We never see a player catch the ball in their chest on deep balls. Watch any desean jackson deep ball or santonio holmes deep ball... they always cradle it in their chest. In madden it is always caught awkwardly with their hands. Every WR looks like stephen hill on roller skates. Especially when it is a user catch. I think if they add ball physics with more catch variety we will start to see more realistic catches AND drops. Imagine throwing a bullet with Rodgers to finley and having it bounce off his chest as a drop. We need organic gameplay like this

This is a great example of what I would like to see with the emotion of Living Worlds, men, women, and children celebrating with players.

The fans also need to be more diverse

Have two player celebrations like this

Show the players watching the plays on the field

Show scenes like this between timeouts.
