I'm glad you said this because I don't think many believe me as I've gone back to '16 for awhile now. Go to Gamestop and pick this one up for very little,use Armor's or Josh's sliders as both are great and play the fully patched version.

The only drawback for most would be that this version didn't have full editing yet unfortunately or most offline players would go this way I believe.

Absolutely!

As mentioned many times before in these forums....
Gameplay is the number 1 priority because it affects everyone. Head coach 09 could be regarded as the best franchise mode ever, but it never gained traction because there was no gameplay.

The reason Madden 18 is disliked as much as it is, is because of how poor the CPU intelligence is with gameplay and the neglect of an already dying franchise mode. These are perfect ingredients to anger even casual fans.

Yeah, I think you and I only recalled the QB play in 16 yesterday until A & S agreed today.lol

Sadly I had to buy a new Xbone and game this year, as my old one died.

I dont have any of the old games anymore.

I keep picking M18 back up, but then something happens and have to shut my xbone off or break my controller lol

I play it almost every night. It's not great but it's decent enough to keep me going. Soon I'll go back to The Show which is still the best.

Those of you saying you "stopped playing months/weeks ago", I find it hard to believe that you'd still be checking these discussion boards if you did.

That is one of the biggest problems with the "Madden Hate".

People will trash it all day long, but at the end of the day EA still wins when people buy the game just to shelve it after a few weeks. People can say whatever they want, but it really doesn't matter unless they action their displeasure by boycotting the game.

EA can ignore the criticism all day, but what they can't ignore is when their stock starts to drop.

Very true and applaud the effort, but here's the conundrum:

- People have been saying this over the past decade and nothing has changed

- The stock has grown in price over the years.

I read somewhere on Twitter today in regards to Madden:

The hardcore is a very slim market, most people want to play online today.

For my personal taste, I'd rather avoid it, but I know others in here enjoy playing online, too.
