Wow.

Soriano for Ramirez is a STEAL for you guys. What the hell is that Seattle GM thinking . You guys just got a TOP(if not the top now) setup guy in the NL. Soriano has some nasty stuff.
Good trade.

It really is a great deal.

I've been critical of Schuerholz lately, but he really pulled one off today.

Well done, homeboy.

I just hope Horacio doesn't revert to his (2004?) form and I just hope Soriano stays healthy.

Re: 2006 Atlanta Braves Discussion

Tomorrow could be an interesting day. The Soriano/Ramirez deal should be officially announced, and then there's this:

Quote:
Late Wednesday evening, another Braves source indicated that the club could be ready to make a big trade on Thursday. There still hasn't been much of a market for second baseman Marcus Giles, and it's almost certain the club won't be trading Hudson.

Evidently there are reports out of Chicago that the Cubs have agreed to a deal with Ward.

The Cardinals could be close to signing free agent Dan Kolb, likely to a one-year deal.
They've also been talking to Octavio Dotel, but he doesn't want to settle for a setup role. Kolb, 31, had a 4.84 ERA in 48 1/3 innings for the Brewers last season.
