How can you take a paycut if you don't even know what the team is going to offer you?

Yeah...try and make it seem that if Glavine had just waited one more day...he would have gotten whatever he needed to make him a Brave again. Mr. Scheurholz....you're full of crap

Bottom line.....the Mets front office acted like gentlemen and I'm sure Glavine and his family appreciated that while the Braves front office acted like the cheap slugs they are(Scheurholz really I guess) and tried to undercut Glavine ....I believe to make him "pay" for leaving in the first place. No class. Atlanta players(Chipper comes to mind) have always went the extra mile to accomodate the Atlanta front office and you never see any reciprocation(I know that these contracts are nothing to sneeze at...but it's more than that)

BUT.....thank you Atlanta ...we'll take Tommy for at least one more and hopefully, it will be nice to see him win #300 in a Mets uniform.

As well he should. That Braves run in the '90's was pretty amazing and the big three made it happen. Some great baseball there..
When I think of Glavine...I think of him as a Brave.....unless he can help us win the Series next year!
