NBA 2k13 "The Eccentric Edition" All-Star Slider Set
Start screen credits to MillenniumTCK of NBA2kOrg Xbox 360/PS3 Sliders The first slider set is made for the Xbox 360's OS Sim Collab 'Swagged Out' roster (found HERE), and will most likely be incompatible with any other roster. The second slider set is made for the Xbox 360's PJT05's Hardwood Hoops roster (found HERE), and should be compatible (with some slight tweaking) with the following rosters: Xbox 360: Take That 2K13, 2013 Trifecta Roster Project, and the 2k default rosters (it may be compatible with others, so feel free to experiment for yourselves). PS3: The absolute best roster on PS3 is Bedwardsroy19's Roster, and I have heard from multiple people that it is compatible with this set. So, seeing as I am not a PS3 user and therefore cannot test the sliders on any PS3 roster, I would recommend that you stick with Bed's roster as it is the best available option. OS SiM Collab Roster: SwaGGed OUT - Slider Set *BETA*
Spoiler
Disclaimer: This version of the slider set may be more difficult than some of you are comfortable with. The CPU's offense and defense are VERY challenging, and will make you pay for almost every mistake. I will provide a few "easier" settings to make the slider set accessible to all skill levels. Easier settings will be green and in parentheses, after the original values. Example: Steal Success - 55/50 (50/45) Roster As stated above in large green letters, this slider set was made specifically for the OS SiM Collab roster, which you can find by following the link HERE. Gameplay Difficulty - All-Star or Superstar (Superstar is HIGHLY recommended) Game Speed - 50 Quarter Length - 12 Minutes Fatigue - On Injuries - On Shooting Type - User Timing FT Shooting Type - Real Player % Free Throw Difficulty - 50 Controller Settings Automatic Shot Contest - Intense-D Defensive Assist Strength - 50 (Decrease for more of a challenge) User vs. CPU Sliders If there is only one value listed, it applies to both User and CPU. Spoiler
What's New: In Version 4.1, a lot of fine-tuning has gone into the Defense and Tendencies sliders. Some of the more important features of this version include:
Roster I STRONGLY suggest using ANY roster that incorporates vannwolfhawk's playbook edits. With his playbooks, the game plays REMARKABLY better, and you're really missing out if you're using a roster without them. Gameplay Difficulty - All-Star Game Style - Simulation Game Speed - 52 Quarter Length - 12 Minutes Sim Quarter Length - 12 Minutes Fatigue - On Injuries - On Shooting Type - User Timing (Personal Preference) FT Shooting Type - Real Player % Free Throw Difficulty - 0 My Controller: Automatic Shot Contest - Intense-D Defensive Assist Strength - 30 (Increase if you need more help with on-ball defense) Coach Profiles (For all Teams) Run Plays (When using a roster without Vannwolfhawk's Playbooks) - 0 Run Plays (When using a roster with Vannwolfhawk's Playbooks) - Default Fastbreak - Default (The patch has seemed to eliminate the fastbreak issue, so I suggest leaving this at your roster's default value) If there are any noticeable problems that need addressed, be sure to report them here! User vs. CPU Sliders If there is only one value listed, it applies to both User and CPU. If there are two values, they will be in User/CPU format. Offense Inside Shot Success - 43/46 Close Shot Success - 46/49 Mid-Range Success - 49/51 3PT Success - 48/53 Layup Success - 50 Dunk In Traffic Frequency - 20 Dunk In Traffic Success - 40 Pass Accuracy - 47/46 Alley-Oop Success - 47/48 Contact Shot Success - 55 Defense Driving Contact Shot Frequency - 85 Inside Contact Shot Frequency - 100 Layup Defense Strength TAKEOFF - 85 Layup Defense Strength RELEASE - 100 Jump Shot Defense Strength GATHER - 75 Jump Shot Defense Strength RELEASE - 100 Help Defense Strength - 95 Steal Success - 52 Attributes Quickness - 37/31 Vertical - 58/54 Strength - 57/53 Stamina - 50 Speed - 39/34 Durability - 50 Hustle - 88/26 Ball Handling - 38/35 Hands - 65 Dunking Ability - 45/40 On-Ball Defense - 50/46 Stealing - 55/50 Blocking - 75 Offensive Awareness - 50/70 Defensive Awareness - 70/75 Offensive Rebounding - 58/48 Defensive Rebounding - 55/52 Consistency - 35/65 Fatigue Rate - 55 Injury Frequency - 75 Injury Severity - 50 Tendencies *Only for CPU unless two values are given* Take Inside Shots - 15 Take Close Shots - 15 Take Mid-Range Shots - 35 Take 3Pt Shots - 60 Post Shots - 60 Attack the Basket - 25 Look for Post Players - 100 Throw Alley-Oops - 50 Attempt Dunks - 50 Attempt Putbacks - 70 Play Passing Lanes - 90/50 Go For On-Ball Steals - 48/52 Contest Shots - 95/95 Backdoor Cuts - 5 Fouls Over the Back Foul Frequency - 100 Charging Foul Frequency - 100 Blocking Foul Frequency - 90 Reaching Foul Frequency - 65 Shooting Foul Frequency - 97/99 Loose Ball Foul Frequency -100 CPU vs. CPU Sliders Only the CPU value is listed, for obvious reasons. Any sliders not mentioned remain the same as the "User vs. CPU" slider set. *Still Testing* For now, all values stay the same as the User vs. CPU slider set. Association Mode These sliders are for Offline Association mode only. In my opinion, these give the best results by far. Any sliders not mentioned remain the same as the User/CPU or CPU/CPU slider sets above. Game Options (Press Y/Triangle at the Team/Jersey selection screen) Game Speed - 55 Player Speed - 38 Attributes Quickness - 49/44 Speed - 50/45 Injury Frequency - 40 (Any higher results in too many sim injuries) Injury Severity - 0 (Makes it so the majority of injuries are minor) Pre-Patch Slider Set Some of you may not have access to XBL or PSN, and therefore won't have access to a patch for the foreseeable future. Because of this, I made sure to keep my Pre-Patch slider set alive in the form of a blog post. To access my Pre-Patch slider, go to my blog post here: NBA 2k13 "The Eccentric Edition" All-Star Slider Set (Pre-Patch) PC Sliders (URB Specific) Latest Update: February 14th - Version 1.2.1
Spoiler
What's New: Version 1.0A is my very first slider set for the PC version of NBA 2k13, but don't let that fact throw you off. In my honest opinion, these just may be the best sliders I've released to date. These sliders are HEAVILY based off of my Xbox 360/PS3 slider set, and the way they compliment the URB roster makes the game as enjoyable to play as, dare I say, NBA 2k11. Version 1.0B is a minor update which focuses on lowering the points in the paint mainly by increasing the amount of fouls called and also by making contested inside shots a little less likely to go in. Roster As you have read above, these sliders are specific to the URB roster. You are free to try these with any other roster, but just remember that I have not tested these sliders with any other roster, and I do not plan on doing so. URB thread/download link: http://forums.nba-live.com/viewtopic.php?f=149&t=89036 Gameplay Difficulty - All-Star Game Style - Simulation Game Speed - 52 Quarter Length - 12 Minutes Sim Quarter Length - 12 Minutes Fatigue - On Injuries - On Shooting Type - User Timing (Personal Preference) FT Shooting Type - Real Player % Free Throw Difficulty - 0 My Controller: Automatic Shot Contest - Intense-D Defensive Assist Strength - 30 (Increase if you need more help with on-ball defense) Coach Profiles (For all Teams) Leave all values as they are in URB V5. If there are any noticeable problems that need addressed, be sure to report them here! User vs. CPU Sliders If there is only one value listed, it applies to both User and CPU. If there are two values, they will be in User/CPU format. However, be sure to keep the criticism as constructive and informative as possible. Try to point out what you are seeing too much of (ex. The AI attacks the basket too often), what you're not seeing enough of (ex. The AI does not go to the post often enough), etc. Here's a simple resource I made to help depict what exactly "realistic stats" should look like: NBA Stats to Replicate with Sliders Feel free to give my thread 5 stars and "like" this post if you enjoy my set. It shows others that these are quality sliders, and it makes me feel a little warm inside, too. Enjoy! Last edited by EccentricMeat; 07-10-2014 at 05:49 AM. |

Re: NBA 2k13 "The Eccentric Edition" - All-Star Slider Set
I got questions..
Durability 40/35? Fatigue Rate 57 for both USER/CPU? Tendencies *Only for CPU* The user "go for on-ball steal" tendency is 40 on simulation sliders. Should I change that back to 50 or it remains as 40? I will test your sliders when I get back home Last edited by free24ride1; 10-28-2012 at 11:07 AM. |

Re: NBA 2k13 "The Eccentric Edition" - All-Star Slider Set
Fatigue rate remains at it's default Simulation setting for both User and CPU. And as for User tendencies, I didn't touch them at all. If I do in the future, the only ones I will change will be Go for On Ball Steals and Play Passing Lanes, but I'm not sure I'll need to do that. Let me know how your testing goes!

These are good. Already using something similar, and am getting some good games.
Curious...what the hell does the consistency slider do? It says something about players playing true to attributes. |

Re: NBA 2k13 "The Eccentric Edition" - All-Star Slider Set
Okay I played one game using your settings and sliders (used Cheat Engine to lock the sliders and settings) and this is what I noticed:
* The CPU was making more plays for the big men, passing to them if given an opportunity and the big men will play aggressively in the post, which is what I like. *The game speed feels more fluid like you said *The CPU is leaving me from the 3-point line most of the time or gives me enough space to shoot it from there. Maybe you can improve the on-ball defense for CPU? *This has happened atleast 2-4 times in the game (not sure) but as soon as the CPU passes it to the PG from the inbounds, one of the CPU's teammates is open from half court and ends up a cherrypick for them, easy basket. *The CPU's 3 point FG% was horrible in this game, only making 1/13, but this is only one game. Will post more. *I think the slider needs to improve the defense, not much turnovers, steals and blocks on this one game, but the rest of the stats look good. Like I said, this is only one game though, but this is what I noticed so far after playing a game with 12 minutes quarter. I will tell you more after a couple of games. Re: NBA 2k13 "The Eccentric Edition" - All-Star Slider Set
If you want a little more impact from hot/cold streaks for the AI, just lower the Consistency slider a little ways. Probably to around 75.
Thanks for the feedback guys!

Re: NBA 2k13 "The Eccentric Edition" - All-Star Slider Set
New update! My sliders are now at the BETA stage, so I am getting closer to a final release!
In this update, I add in all sliders, regardless of whether they are altered from the default Simulation setting, to make the sliders easier to read and input. Also in this update, I add in a new Coaching Profile edit for the Fastbreak setting! By using the scale I provide, you should see a dramatic improvement in the way the AI carries out the fast break. Teams that run still run, and teams that don't keep it slow, but now both will make decisions based on what the transition defense gives them. If you stop the ball-handler, this will usually result in the AI pulling back and setting up their offense. However, if you leave an open lane or the AI has numbers, you will still be punished. Let me know your thoughts on the update!
