I really like the new look of the menus. Sleek look works great for menus.

What I don't like is how that same style is used for the in game scorebug. Two different things and I think the scorebug could look a lot better.

Still no six-man rotations.

More disappointingly though, the 26-man rosters are still limited to 13 pitchers in franchise mode etc. But, surprisingly, "live roster" exhibition games will happily load up rosters with 14 pitchers. So that's really frustrating, makes it straight-up impossible to have accurate rosters for some teams outside of exhibition games. Kind of a wtf thing to miss.

This is concerning on multiple levels - Team Management - a catcher and CF at SS, and on top of that the catcher not making errors.

On the pause screen during an at-bat, the hitters stats are displayed:

AVG

RBI

HITS

HR

This really bugs me for some reason. Home runs and RBI need to be displayed together and home runs need to come first. The current way is just gross.

Wow, that's a big blow! A lot of teams are going with 14 man pitching staffs.

I’m 100% enjoying this game! The hitting seems a tad harder since the defense seems more aware. On the flip side, the defense is more engaging and responsive!

I haven’t tried DD since it seems a bit overwhelming and unnecessarily complex.

Also if you turn contracts to manual and sim to day before exclusive period in off-season. Players hit market and contract values for ss and other go up. Must be something in logic to have them bid up.

Stats show that hits to the SS are down a considerable percentage over the last few years and teams are starting to not care as much about a SS's fielding ability (true story!). Maybe the devs are just ahead of the curve?

The commissioner's office is concerned about how warped the game has become. Even as MLB said it's using a less lively ball this year, home runs continue to fly out of parks. Strikeouts continue to rise. And with fewer balls in play, some teams are trying to jam more offense into traditionally glove-first positions.MLB has even floated the idea of eliminating defensive shifts, which may in part have an eye on increasing defensive demands on positions. Well.. after playing the PS4 version and the PS5 version.. I think if people would actually try it with an open mind, they will see the difference. Lighting and colors just stand out on next gen and make it look so damn good. Not going to go into more than that, but this game is gorgeous on next gen regardless if it did not receive "substantial" upgrades.

Oh.. also, the dirt, not sure anyone has mentioned it, but it looks 100x better than MLB 20.

I hate that we can't edit coaches. This doesn't seem like something that should be hard to do.

When they don't have the rights to somebody, boy, they don't even TRY.

The Yankees third base coach in the game is a GIANT MAN WITH LONG RED HAIR AND A BEARD!!!!!! Last year in the game it was an African American guy!

I get it, you don't have the rights to Phil Nevin apparently...but like, dude....you couldn't just make it an old looking white guy with no facial hair?

Yankees first base coach is wrong, too. They gave him #70 and in real life he's #75.

If they can't get these things right, or even CLOSE, just let me do it myself! I want to be able to edit the coaches.

Yes. I usually do a consolidated thread of all issues so the devs can see. Day 1 I have to get my head around everything. Then I need to start taking notes and tracking individual things.

In all honesty. I like the improved contract and trade logic. That in itself is a seller. I need to do 10 year sims for progression and regression, stats, drafting, stats and budgets.

CPU teams are not filling their 40 and are playing with Short rosters. Here is year 2 mid. season. Teams rosters go between 87 and 93 men. They don't seem to fill rosters. Injuries occur and players are not being called up.

Does the yankee pitching coach still have a beard? SDS does not seem to realize that the yanks have a no beard policy. You will even see players with a beard in game. Not sure how they miss this every year.
