Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis MLB 08)

Alright, sorry for the double post, however, I am using the sliders that were posted on the previous page.

Anyways, it may only be my first game, but compared to when I was playing before, it seems like the CPU is throwing waaaay more strikes than balls, which is resulting in easier hits for me. So I was just curious, what slider changes how frequently the CPU throws balls/strikes?

    Thanks alot in advance again!

Alright Nemesis, where are the updated post-patch sliders ?

Seriously, I think a few tweaks to the CPU offense may be in order. Anyone else think anything else needs to be changed? Are you guys still drawing the same amount of walks? More ? Less? I can't tell any difference in gameplay except these 2 things. CPU offense seems better now. Human pitch command seems harder now. Any feedback from others would be very welcome. Thanks.

Hmm, the changes I'm noticing are in my hitting. CPU hitting and pitching seems about the same to me.

But I'm a left-stick-user and Guess Pitch player, and I don't think I have hit a gapper for a double in about 7 games post-patch. My contact quality seems to be way down, even though I now have my Hit Q up to -3.

I'm now having the problem others used to complain about ... I either hit a single up the middle or a Home Run. Not much else.

I set the CPU HQ and POWER to default and gave up back-to-back HR's in the 1st inning of Game 1 of my franchise (Rios and V. Wells). Nemesis mentioned lowering the CPU HQ anywhere between -4 and 0.

Walks? It's hard to judge after one game. Not seeing very many balls thrown by CPU, but I am facing Halladay. I gave up one walk so far (I'm currently in the middle of my game). Human pitch command is definately different. I am missing more on pitches. I was aiming a fastball low-and-away, and it wound up up in the zone for a CPU single. I like that (it's realistic) as long as it doesn't get ridiculous and happen all the time.

Yes, CPU offense is better and HUMAN pitch command is lower. Another difference in gameplay I noticed is there seems to be a lot of 8+ pitch at bats by the CPU. They foul off everything with two strikes. I'm not looking for the strikeout each time as Wang isn't a strikeout pitcher, but maybe pitch count (at +5) needs to come down now? I threw something like 52 pitches in 2 innings.

            Just a thought:

Maybe we all got used to the CPU totally sucking at hitting and us being able to basically control the game with our pitching, that anything resembling a realistic offensive showing by the CPU is going to freak us all out now.

I can't seem to find the foul tip% slider and the strike % slider. Are they located seperately from the other sliders?

They are in-game. You have to start a game, go into the slider section, adjust them, and make sure you save after the game. I just restart.

                          Nemesis,

What roster set goes with these sliders? Knight's? SCEA'S, or default. I ask, because it took me about 75 games last year to figure out Knight changed each players attributes thus affecting the way your slider set played out. I was wondering why everyone was raving about your sliders last year, until I realized it was based off of SCEA'S attributes and not Knight's.

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

The CPU was definitely weak, even on HOF before. I like this better personally. But, man do I have to pitch better. Mistakes get pounded more often. I may go back to all star as I keep losing now.
