If this deal comes to fruition, I would think Boras and Arod are done.

I would hope so, for A-Rod's sake. LoL

Like I said before, why would it matter?

This is Alex's last deal. He doesn't need Boras after this anyway. So getting rid of him does nothing.

I've never thought about this before, but you do definitely have a good point.

I guess Hank Steinbrenner is all bravado. Personally i'd let A-Rod rot and go to some other team for way less money.

Oh well if A-Rod does re-sign with the Yanks he's going to be even more of a target then before from the media and haters.

It doesn't matter! I was just making a general statement, lol.

I'll gladly take him back. I've always been one of his biggest supporters on this board. Who wouldn't want the best player in the game on their team?

I agree, I've always wanted him to stay with the Yanks. I just wish he never opted out of the deal and went with the extention the Yankees wanted to give him in the first place. It would look a lot better for him and his image.

I guess I'll be glad to keep him off the Angles, but I am getting so tired of Arod stories. It all feels so calculated and every twist of this story seems to get him back on the front page. IDK, I guess I would like to hear about the rest of the MLB's off season.

This whole thing is pretty humorous. Hank is all talk, and Arod looks like a fool for opting out of his contract. They deserve each other.

Then A-Rod would have to fire Boras and represent himself.

This is why I really cringed when Hank opened his mouth. You cant burn your bridges while the possibility of him wanting to return still looms. Now if/when you sign him, you look like a tool.

If you could sign him on your own terms, with him coming to you, almost hat in hand, any team would do it. You're getting the best player in baseball (albeit annoying) coming to you to play.

He'll always be a target, but once he starts hitting those things tend to be forgotten. If he ever puts a good postseason together, he will hear even less. NY is like that with a lot of guys.

I don't think Hank looks bad here at all. AROD came to them and pretty much is leaving Boras out of the activity. The Yankees are doing things on their terms, and by all accounts this deal will "compensate" them for the Texas money they lost.

Shameless plug: I wrote about this on the site in my sig. Would love to hear thoughts.
