Re: 2009 Cincinnati Reds
Aurther Rhodes was just unreal once he loaded the bases up in the 8th last night!
Joey Votto is still hitting great and the team had its first 10 hit game of the year last night.
Do you realize they could be in first place if they win tonight. Also they are 7-3 since they started 0-2.ND Season Ticket Holder since '72.Comment

Re: 2009 Cincinnati Reds
Bruce hit another HR last night and finally Phillips is batting where he needs to be and that is 6th. Now get EE out of the clean up spot and insert Bruce there and EE moves to 5, this team should be set. Oh and call up Adam Rosales already.Comment

And you can not bat Bruce 4th, if you did you would be batting all 3 of your LH back to back to back.ND Season Ticket Holder since '72.Comment

Re: 2009 Cincinnati Reds
Tough loss tonight against Atlanta but I did see some positives that I'm seeing more often than I can remember. 8th inning sacrifice bunt to move runners over then a sac fly to score a run. We needed 2 and got 1 but I like the idea. But I guess we don't have much of a choice until our bats wake up.
Do you guys remember when Adam Dunn went nearly an entire season without a sac fly! lol What a joke - glad that guys gone.Comment

Re: 2009 Cincinnati Reds
I understand the whole keeping-the-ball-down thing the Reds pitchers need to do in that ballpark, but why Volquez didn't adjust where he was throwing the ball is beyond me. He kept the ball down but it was always out of the strikezone. Those guys weren't going to swing. Walks 7 in the first 4 innings, 5 in the 4th inning alone. Walked in two runs. Ridiculous. Adjust your aim, Edinson! Move your aim to the middle if your throwing the ball down too much so it'll be in the lower half of the strikezone!MLB: Cincinnati Reds

Re: 2009 Cincinnati Reds
Not good
John Fay is down on the field and I am up in the pressbox -- John just called me with this info:
The Reds just placed 3B Edwin Encarnacion on the disabled list. An MRI today showed a chip fracture in Encarnacion's left wrist.
Adam Rosales has been called up from Louisville and is expected here in time for tonight's 7:10 p.m. game vs. Houston at Great American Ball Park.Comment

Re: 2009 Cincinnati Reds
Maybe it was just my eyes playing tricks on me. I know he had some errors, but most of the charging for bunt plays he made were somewhat "smart".
Hopefully Rosales is the real deal, and can help us out. From Hal McCoy's Latest Blog Post:
Scratch all that mumbo-jumbo about Edwin Encarnacion and his wrist not being a serious problem.
Encarnacion was placed on the disabled list at 5:30 tonight with a chip fracture in his right wrist.
Taking his place is the man fans have been begging to see — Adam Rosales, known around the clubhouse as Pete Rose-ales for his all-out hustle.
Rosales was hitting .431 at Class AAA Louisville, second in the International League. He was 3 for 3 Monday against Indianapolis and is on a 10-game hitting streak, reaching base in all 16 games.Comment
