Exactly! All I wanted, besides the above, was to use my jab without being scared (counters) or careless (dumb CPU AI) and for the CPU to fight their styles. Tyson should slip punches and try to rip me head off, Ali should dance and throw jabs and crosses on the outside, RJJ should be unpredictable and Toney/Chambers (counter punchers) should frustrate me. I acheived that. At the same time if I take a crappy boxer and fight an elite boxer it should take the fight of my life to even make it to the scorecards. Pappy showed you aren't going to take a scrub and beat Sugar Ray easily on this setup. I can deal with the punch stats. I realize the invisible shield on the blocks aren't high enough and the blocking high to low (and vice versa) is just too slow in the game code. There are going to be percentages from a low of around 35% to highs being around 55%, sometimes 60. I can deal with it, it's still a great game.

For real. That summed up what I was aiming for, the difference in styles making for different fights. RJJ vs. Calzagne would be a great fight to watch on these sliders, I may just do that.

One thing that come out in testing was my wish that Tyson's chin was better. I know he was knocked out a couple times in his career, but he had a better chin than given credit for. It should be an 88 to 90. When he was in his prime he had a chin on him, brushing off shots that would have KO'd most decent heavyweights. His heart should be low, for sure, but his chin should be a little higher.

I want to thank Parker for his help and everyone else who tested these out. The feedback everyone else gave was a huge factor in the testing. I also want to give credit to Reignmaker, he was the one that showed advantages of ten power, low damage and high CPU AI. Even though I don't love all that's in the game, great job to EA Canada...the fact I am still playing this and enjoying it three months later shows how good this game is and how much potential FNR5 has.

It IS a great fight to watch. I'd be interested to see your results if you played as RJJ. As Calzaghe, it was a very tough fight, but by sticking to his style and punching in flurries, I was able to win it.

It is isn't that I'm still playing. I'm just STARTING.

After I create these Froch, Haye and Mayweather CAB's I will do just that.

Oh, I almost forgot...the main reason I use nine instead of ten on CPU OFF AI is when they counter punch they often get off an extra punch or two and they almost never miss. Nine makes them a little less psychic on that front.

I'm still here and lurking. I have actually been getting some good results with a set of parkers sliders back from before the extra sliders were added. I'm gonna try out the new sets tonight though. Parker, I'm glad you stuck with it. Are you now removing the licensed boxers from career mode? I enjoy it much more now, the fights arent ******** anymore

I haven't ever used the licensed fighters in Legacy. That's just my thing. I've never used real rosters for NCAA dynasty either.

A brief obvservation on these sliders and early Legacy and then I have to get back to the FIGHTING. SO MUCH FUN!

                1) I've seen a few flash KD's, so they are definitely still there.

                2) I've had matches go the distance more often than not, but I also have one win by a ONE knockdown, 1st round KO.

                3) Good LORD, counter punchers are hard on these settings! VERY rewarding to fight these guys.

                4) I think the training games will be fine without any slider or difficulty manipulation. The absolute hardest training in early Legacy is the double end bag, and even with my 56 foot speed and speed slider on 2, I managed to get Contender on my very first try. The only other one that is super hard is the heavy bag push and we've already got the Power slider at 10.

                  5) I've fought a few experienced guys now and the damage slider is awesome. I fought a guy with low swelling but high cuts and he was puffed up like a meatball at the end of the fight, but no cuts. On the other hand, I fought a guy with a low cut rating and I cut him with a counter in the 1st round.

                    1) I stopped keeping track at some point, but last time I had a count I had about twice as many flash KDs as stunned KDs. I don't think the number has changed much since, and it's awesome.

                    2) I had started to wonder if once-down KOs were possible, but I just had one as well. It was the fifth round, and I had only been able to stun this guy once or twice. No KDs for either side. The fight had 'decision' written all over it. He was a southpaw, and in the 5th I saw his guard drop low so I stepped in with a quick left hook right hook combo. Both landed solidly and he couldn't get up. I love it.

Yeah, I caught this dude with a flush left uppercut about halfway through the 1st - not only had neither of us been stunned, I think we'd landed maybe 4 or 5 punches between the two of us.

My left went inside his guard and he was out like a light.

That's one thing I haven't seen with these sliders yet. Glad to know it happens.

In fight now I have had a 15 round decision (I won) over my Mayweather CAB. I have him set about right (counter puncher AI), because just as IRL he was a mofo and frustrating to fight. We had one knockdown each the entire fight. Mine was a flash counter straight in the second and his was a stun and beatdown in the eight.

I took my welterweight CAB against my Froch CAB I was editing (AI should be unconventional) and you could see the difference of a middle fighting a welter, because he was much slower but he was hurting me and standing in against my counter hooks and straights.

I fought against my Haye (also unconventional) CAB and with his 70 rated chin knocked him out in the first with my speedy, counter punching CAB.

I may end up bumping the stamina to six, but for the most part as long as I am not being crazy with my punches I am ok. I can get 100 punches a round with a welterweight, but with a heavyweight more like 70. I can deal with that, because it's nice to fight the power guys and my defense pay off in the late rounds. I am loving this setup!

I go crazy with my punches, but it's just something I have to deal with. The CPU doesn't do a very good job of conserving stamina if it's set lower than 6.

                                Re: Official Slider Discussion Thread

Just want to give props to parker002 and acts238shaun with the updated sliders. I've been following this thread since the game was launched trying to find the perfect set for my style of play. I've tried all of the champion/goat sliders (page 1) and couldn't find one that made this game (for me anyways) fun. I finally tried both of yours (latest set) and they definitely made this game fun that I had to restart my legacy over again.

At first I didn't think your set(s) were for me. I felt like Tyson when was dominating at the beginning (6-0 w/6 KO's) of my legacy. That was until I started climbing the ladder, going up in rank, I found out that I had to be a smart boxer. The boxers that I faced became alot smarter.

parker, like you had mentioned above that flash KD's are in the game...well I've finally seen a few. Unfortunately it was my *** that was sent to the canvas..lol!

Right now I'm ranked #29 with 10(9)-2-0 record. The two losses were probably the best fights that I've had since playing this game. They both went to the 10th round and since both fights were close, I wasn't sure if I was ahead in points or not so decided to go in for the kill. In both fights I got caught with nasty uppercuts..it became tough for my boxer to get up (fatigued).

Anyways thanks again to you both.....You guys made this game fun again for me!
