            Diamondbacks Win Going Away!!!!!

Diamondbacks put on an offensive clinic against Rockies.

A crowd of 34,927 fans saw the hometown Diamondbacks get a win over the Rockies, a 5-0 decision that went the Diamondbacks way. Brandon Webb allowed no runs on 6 hits, while striking out 7 to earn his 5th win of the season. Stephen Drew carried a big stick -- and he used it -- pounding a pair of home runs and knocking in 5 runs.

The Diamondbacks welcome the Tigers to Chase Field tonight, giving the start to Dan Haren (1-6, 4.34), who will be opposed by Jeremy Bonderman (5-1, 3.19).

Hey buddy. I just found out the only way the cpu will call up a minor league player is through an injury, but it will still allow you to make moves on your own accord. You should give the AAA pitcher that is doing the best a spot start. I would like to see that. A start over Garrett Olson would probably benefit you.

Oriole fans go home frustrated as offense struggles against worst team in league!!!!!

Baltimore, MD - The Nationals took game 1 tonight to take early bragging rights in the I-95 series. The Orioles offense once again struggled as Jason Bergmann went 7.2 IP and allowed only 1 run while recording 7 strikeouts. The Nationals got on the board first when Luke Scott misjudged a fly ball off the bat of Ryan Zimmerman that would've ended the top of the 3rd inning, but the mistake allowed Willie Mo Pena to score and give the Nats a 1-0 lead. It remained that way until the 6th when the Nationals used fundamentals and got a sacrifice fly from Dimitri Young to plate Zimmerman and give the Nats a 2-0 lead. The O's got an RBI single from Melvin Mora with 2 outs in the 8th to cut the lead in half, but Aubrey Huff lined out to second base with runners on 1st and 2nd to end the threat. Washington added an insurance run in the 9th and Chad Cordero earned his 1st save of the season by getting Kevin Millar to ground out to second base. The I-95 series continues tomorrow night as the "Birds" look to rebound and snap a 3 game losing streak.

                      Cardinals Take Game One!!!!!

Host Cardinals get the jump, win first game of their series.

The Cardinals snuck past the Rays and the NL last night, getting a 8-7 win in front of 37,297 fans at Busch Stadium. Rick Ankiel went 2 for 3 in the game, belting a home run and driving in 2 runs. Kyle McClellan needed only 1 inning of work to get the win, his 2nd of the season, in relief of starter Braden Looper. Braden Looper reached something of a milestone by collecting career strikeout number 500.

The series continues today, as the Cardinals send Mike Parisi (0-2, 6.23) to the mound against Chris Mason (0-0, 2.70) and the Rays.

Hey man, thanks for clearing that up. I've been back and forth on this. It was easy last year as I played season mode. This year, it's hard for me to do that, but something does need to be done about it. It's not fair for the other 29 teams to be making moves and I just sit there waiting for an injury. I had some personal rules last year on all of the free agency stuff, trading block, drafting, etc....I'll have to sit down and think some things out before jumping into this if I decide to do it. I don't want to be moving guys up and down all of the time, but we'll have to pace it out and set up some ground rules. I can't just throw one in there for the heck of it, not like him, and throw him back down. I'll think about it at work tomorrow and try to come up with some rules pertaining to it. Thanks again man!!!

OK, here's the deal. I went back to last year and found my rules regarding the off the field stuff. I have switched Drafting, Management, Trades, Free Agents, Contracts, and Injuries to Manual. I will remove the players currently on the trading block and will put players on that are in accordance to the rules. I will also make a few moves according to the promotional rules to bring things current for my team. All new rules will be added to page 1 in the house rules section. *****Note, all rules are subject to change as I will have to simulate a season to make sure rules are compatible with off season mode*****

                          Drafting

I will draft according to positions needed beginning with the higher amount of players needed for that position. I will draw a card #1-13 to determine draft choice.

                          Management/Promotions

                          Trade Block

I will put 3 pitchers and 3 fielders on the trading block on the first day of each month based on performance. One pitcher/fielder from each team in the organization.

                          Pitchers - Lowest ERA
                          Hitters - Lowest Average

                          Promotions

One Fielder will be called up and sent down at the 30, 70, and 110 game mark and two pitchers (SP, RP) at the 40, 80, and 120 game mark from each team in organization based on performance.

                          Starting Pitcher - # Losses
                          Relief Pitcher - ERA
                          Hitters - Average

                          Positions Seeked

I'm allowed to seek 5 positions, so I will check mark the 5 positions that I rank the lowest in.

                          Trades

Computer Offers Only - acceptance will be determined by coin flip (trade = heads, decline = tails).

                          Free Agency

I will release a maximum of 6 pitchers and 6 fielders a season based on potential free agents available. Players released will be determined by a coin flip. (Heads will re-sign, Tails will be released.) I will replace released players with players of the same positions. All signings will be determined by a card system of mine, the same used for drafting method (numbers 1-13 from top to bottom of FA list). I must make one offer to each position needed(cards determine years and salary is default) and wait to see if that designated player accepts or not, if offer(s) are declined, I will re-draw and re-offer until a player is signed for that designated position.

                          Contracts

All negotiating for rookies and all return players re-signing contracts will be determined by a card system. I will draw a card #1-7 to determine the number of years and the money will be default for that period of time. If the player fails to re-sign for the current amount, I will move up the amount one click at a time until the player signs the deal.

                          Injuries

If an injury occurs, the player will be placed on the designated list and the player will be replaced by the best player from the same position. (MLB player will be replaced by a AAA player, and a AAA player will be replaced by a AA player.) A player can never lose his position do to an injury, so he will be placed right back into that position after he returns from his injury.

                          Under 15 days - bench
                          15 to 60 - 15 Day DL
                          60+ - 60 Day DL
