Wow, this is over 500 replies now! Onward to 1,000 Highheat; you'll be only the second dynasty on here to accomplish that feat.

Tough losing streak though. Ouch. Losing all those one-run games are killers. The Braves lost a MLB record 23 (I think?) straight one-run games this year; let's hope you don't break that mark!

Anyways, good luck. You can catch up to Boston! A 20 game lead is nothing! LOL.

Thanks for checking in guys. Yeah, looks like another sweep ahead for my O's, and it's nice to maybe make history here on OS, but I couldn't do it without you guys. It's an honor and thanks for keep paying attention as much as I'm losing.

You tried my friend. Sorry to see the big let up from the team. Phelps made history in Beijing and HH makes history here at OS. Tough go bro'.

Upon further review, within the last year there has been only 5 threads to reach the five century mark, and you have two of them. Two of the other 3 are by some numbskull (me).

It's our sticktuativeness (if there's such a word, if not, it is now) in outlasting any potential boredom that might set in, plus our dedication to what we're doing, that keeps these going. And also, we thank the readers as well. Without them, these wouldn't be as much fun.

Keep up the great work and hopefully you can rebuild the O's.
If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you can read this in english, thank a soldier.

Thanks for all the support guys, but it's hopefully just the beginning of this dynasty thread. I hope I can build a winner someday so you guys are there along for the ride as well.

Fireworks on Father's Day, O's snap streak with 9th inning rally!!!!!

Baltimore, MD - All the Dad's of Baltimore were treated to one hell of a baseball game this afternoon at Camden Yards. The hometown "Birds" offense delivered and gave fans of this team reasons that make the future look bright. Things didn't seem that way when the O's took a 4-2 lead into the 7th inning, the Pirates thinking sweep, came all the way back to take a 5-4 lead. Nate McLouth continued to tear up Orioles' pitching by delivering another home run and gave the Pirates a 5-4 lead in the 7th with an RBI single off of O's starter Garrett Olson. The game went to the 9th inning and then the fireworks began. The Pirates looked like they would put the sweep away with an RBI single from Ronny Paulino and then Freddie Sanchez scored to give Pittsburgh a sure 7-4 victory, but then it happened. A whole half of season's worth of frustration took form in the bottom of the 9th. The O's got the first two hittters aboard with a walk by Millar and a single from Freddie Bynum. With one out, Brian Roberts delivered a single to plate Millar to make it a 7-5 game. The Pirates should've gotten out of the inning and ended the game on a ground ball by Melvin Mora to short, but it was booted and it loaded the bases for the O's. Luke Scott then made the Pirates pay when he drilled a ball to the alley in left center to score Bynum and Roberts to tie the game at 7-7. After an Aubrey Huff pop out for the 2nd out of the inning, Nick Markakis ripped a fastball back through the box into center field to score Mora and send Camden Yards into a frenzy, finally snapping a 6-game skid. The O's have the day off tomorrow and will host the Astros starting Tuesday night.

Thanks gtm, I have to say, when I gave up the lead and then the Pirates got 2 runs in the 9th, I was starting to wonder if I'll ever win again. Everything for some reason just went right in the bottom of the 9th.

Hey Orion, I'll be pulling for you. I know you'll get there, and congrats ahead of time.

                          Put The Brooms Away!!!!!

Avoiding sweep, Tigers take care of Dodgers in Detroit.

The Tigers were able to get past the Dodgers yesterday afternoon, winning the interleague contest 4-3 in front of 34,528 fans at Comerica Park. After starter, Armando Galarraga departed, Dontrelle Willis came into a tie game and managed to earn a win, his 6th of the season, tossing 3 innings of relief and allowing no runs on 1 hit. Todd Jones was literally unhittable in picking up his 22nd save of the season, striking out 3 -- every batter he faced. Curtis Granderson picked up 2 RBI's and went 2-for-4, providing the offensive spark.

Next up for the Tigers are the Giants in San Francisco, with tonight's starter -- Justin Verlander (9-2, 2.45) -- facing a tough match-up Tim Lincecum (7-2, 2.68) at AT&T Park.

                                Red Sox Earn Tough Win!!!!!

Boston wins close game against Philadelphia.

The Red Sox, playing extra innings on the road in an interleague contest, took care of business in Philadelphia, sneaking past the Phillies 7-6 in 11 innings before 43,000 fans at Citizens Bank Park. Manny Ramirez carried the club, going 3-for-5 with a home run and 3 RBI's. Working in relief of Tim Wakefield, Mike Timlin came into a tie game and vultured his 2nd win of the season, pitching 1 inning and allowing no runs. Pitcher Chad Durbin had to be removed from the game after getting injured (head concussion), and is officially listed day-to-day.

The Red Sox look for another road win in Game 2 of the series tonight, but it won't be a walk in the park: the Phillies' starter is Cole Hamels (6-3, 3.67), their ace, who will work against Jon Lester (6-5, 3.85).
