I don't even have the commentator's audio on haha.. Mostly because it would ruin the whole coaching feel but still they do get old after 4 years lol.

Yep, the commentators in this game are pretty bland and unexciting, as is the in-game presentation. The season preview and Selection Sunday shows are really good, though. I miss the commentary from ESPN College Hoops 2K4. That was the glory days of 2K Sports Commentary when they had ESPN presentation in their games with NFL 2K5, NBA 2K4-2K5, etc.

EA Sports has done some with their current ESPN license to improve NCAA 11's and 12's presentation, but they could do a lot more, IMO.

          2022 Recruiting Class

Coach Frizzell had three scholarships to offer this season. He was able to use all three scholarships as Frizzell brought in three three-star power forward prospects to help fill in the gap that Marquel Proffitt will leave with his departure.

Len Shields, a 6'11" power forward, is the highlight of the class. Shields hails from Brooklyn, NY. He is the ranked #196 in his class and is the 34th-ranked power forward of the 2022 recruiting class. He is known as an excellent rebounder and has good size. He is also projected to have very good potential in the future.

Gerrod Grizzard hails from Baltimore, MD. He is the 275th-ranked player in the 2022 class and the 52nd-ranked power forward. He is a bit undersized at 6'7", but he is strong at 230 lbs. and has good potential.

Likewise, the final recruit of the 2022 recruiting class, Leemire Gary, also lacks size at only 6'7" and 216 lbs. However, he plays good defense and has the potential to be a better player in the future. He is ranked as the 411th-player in the 2022 recruiting class and the 70th-ranked power forward. Gary hails from Washington, DC.

          Signed Recruits:
          1. Len Shields 6'11 225 (Brooklyn, NY - #196 overall, #34 PF) 3*
          2. Gerrod Grizzard 6'7 230 (Baltimore, MD - #275 overall, #52 PF) 3*
          3. Leemire Gary 6'7 216 (Washington, DC - #411 overall, #70 PF) 3*

With Proffitt gone, will Forney move to the five spot (and possibly Pena to the 4)? Just looking at height alone with that question. Nice trio of recruits you have for next season, hopefully West Virginia can improve on last season.

Forney will move to the 5, but Pena will stay at SF. Damian French will move to the starting PF spot, though if the incoming freshman are good, he could be unseated from that position eventually.

Barry George will start at PG while Zachary Wooten will get the nod at SG.

Dang you've got a big starting line-up to work with.. Hope the shortages of guards doesn't backfire later in the season

Hopefully Wooten, Norton and/or Clemmons can handle some pointguard duties, otherwise it might become a long season for you.

Pena and Henderson will play some at SG, likely.

Norton can be a serviceable PG, I believe.

No. 22 West Virginia (1-0) got their season off on the right track as they thrashed the Long Island Blackbirds (0-2) 88-47.

The Mountaineers were led by Osei Forney, who scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds. With Marquel Proffitt having graduated this past offseason, Forney now has free reign down low and is able to take back his natural position at center.

In addition to Forney's efforts, Allan Pena also played well, tallying 15 points, three rebounds, and three assists while Barry George played well in his first game as starter at point guard, scoring 11 points to go along with four assists.

With the game well in hand at halftime, the backups got plenty of playing time in the second half, including the new freshman. Len Shields was the most impressive as the freshman accounted for 12 points, six rebounds, and four steals in the very first game of his career.

The Blackbirds were led by J.W. Buchannon, who scoredd 11 points and grabbed seven boards. C.C. Cambridge just missed out on a double-double for LIU as he ended with 10 points and eight rebounds.

The Mountaineers will take on Wagner next Tuesday in their next game.

Just noticed Texas wasn't even in the top 25. They must have lost ALL their talent.

They lost a lot, although they are just on the outside looking in, I'd guess. They still have a fairly good team (~86 OVR), but they aren't worldbeaters like last year, for sure, when they went 39-1.
