In WNY golf season doesn’t truly begin until mid May. So I’ve got three more months to go. Working nights has its advantages in the summer. Hoping to get out 6 out of 7 days this year!

      Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

Somehow we've got beautiful weather here in Kansas, so a mid-morning tee time with my dad and future bro in-law. My dad has had pretty bad health issues the last six months, so it's a real surprise to be able to play with him tomorrow.

Also looking to start the track back into the single digits as I was hovering at 9 and 11 last year, but with very little rounds overall. Hopefully can bump that up a bit!

Waiting on one more fairway wood for the year. Then my bag should be set. At least for a little bit.

That bag would look a lot better if there weren't so many Ping Clubs in it!!

Several courses here have even opened up for play after we've had some days in the 50s. The snow is melting, and spring is in the air!

Has anyone used or bought a launch monitor/simulator that works well? I always feel like the short game is just awful on those and that takes out half of my round.

                Any recs?

I have the MeVo Flightscope. I like it - it works well, pretty much provides any data you would want. I have not used it for short game, though - just full club swings, and for that purpose, I think it does a nice job. So I can't comment on how well it does in evaluating short game, but I'm not sure what you would want to evaluate, exactly? Spin rate? Trajectory? You can get all of that with the Flightscope.

Just saw this come through my social media feeds...you can order an at-home Masters Tournament experience, complete with food shipped in temperature-controlled packaging, the trademark commemorative cups, and even the checkerboard logo serving paper: https://www.fanatics.com/taste-of-th...723-1388715798

It's $150, which is pretty steep. But kind of surprising that they'd do something like this, given how...sensitive ANGC can be about their brand.

Lame. But also suggests something (if indirectly) about how much revenue they actually generate from merchandising and live tournament gate for the Masters. Despite the famously low concession prices, the fact that they're offering this kind of thing is a little bit telling.

You know what would be a nice innovation? Showing all rounds in their entirety on TV. What's the opposition to this? I have no idea what the first 4-5 holes at Augusta look like, and probably never will.

Definitely off-brand for the arrogant club at Augusta, though.

Other than the cheap beer I wasn't really that impressed with the food at Augusta regardless of it's cost.
