Ah... Gotcha... that's a heck of a deal man. My coupon was $150 off $1500... maybe I should just use it, lol.

Is that the same as that $40 off $200 coupon? Both of my local CC's have corporte letters up that state they are no longer accepting those coupons.

No, I get some sort of exclusive coupons to my email where I've bought a TV there before on the CC card.

I found an Olevia 37" LCD HD-Built in TV for $799
            I also found a 32" Westinghouse TV for $600

Are those good deals? I don't have an HD and don't know a lot about them...

Also, whats the difference between Plasma, LCD, etc.

Olevia is a good TV, I have the 32".

If your going to game I would recommend the LCD due to no burn-in that the plasma has, but it's your decision.

Candyman: Sharp, very very sharp. I'm not sure it's worth going out and spending $39 right away which is what I paid for them, because I wanted the toslink option for sound, but it does look crystal clear and very, very damned good. To truly assess i'd need a side by side to the components almost. As for the "washed out" effect it is not washed out IMO. When I first hooked up the cables the screen was too damned bright but thankfully, unlike a lot of tvs, the Samsung 5087 does allow you to adjust contrast and brightness. Once I moved those down to about 40 to 50 for each the games both looked great.

The two games I played with are Dead rising Demo and Rainbow Six Vegas in case you're wondering. I'd say if you're considering at some point getting the HD-DVD then i'd pick these up now. Also it never hurts to be able to connect up the 360 to a monitor in case, God forbid, the Samsung goes down for a spell.

Sweet, I might have to rent it from Best Buy to see how well they work.

Anybody know of good, quality HD's that run around 1100 and lower? I'm looking to mostly game but it'll be used for everything since it'll be in my living room.

If you don't know of any specific TV's, brands would be good too. Thanks a lot.

I hope that you end up seriously enjoying that SXRD, it's a nice set. Did they deliver the stand too?

I'm surprised your waiting till tomorrow, I would be checking that out ASAP.

Best Buy has the deal with No Interest till 2010, stopping today. My brother just bought the Sony Bravia XBR-3 46", and he said if I bought a TV for my room, it'd only come out to around 30-35 bucks or so a month. The deal was for TV's with a total price of $999+. I was looking at this Westinghouse, what do you guys think? BTW, my room is very small, so this is probably the biggest I can go.

What do you guys think? Solid TV? Anything comparable at that size/quality/etc?
