    I'll watch for a price drop of the 1080Ti or a 2070.

I’m going to want to get a 2080ti. You guys think a 750w PSU with a 8700k is enough? I knew I should have gone with the 850w.....

I would think the 1080 and 1080Ti prices are going to go way down end of September, or even sooner, cuz of the new 2080s

Until we get some hard numbers on what the 2080 Ti will be pulling, it will be hard to guess BUT I'd go out on a limb and say 750w will be enough but right on the edge.

          1080 Ti
          Idle - 70w
          Load - 400w

          8700k
          Idle - 95w
          Load - 140w

I seriously doubt we see the 2080 Ti pulling another 100w, maybe more like 35 to 50w max. So I think your 750 will be enough but I'd go 1000w next time if you like to stay on the high-end side.

I initially got a 750w but it was faulty so I went to best buy and all they had in stock was a 850w so i sucked it up and got it and now i'm so glad that happened how it did!!

Yeah I have a 750 now and the it'll probably be my next upgrade if I decide on a new card.

At those prices, glad I didn’t wait. Couldn’t afford that!

                  Enjoy anyone who gets one.

                    Yeah..... So..... Umm.... This happened:

I'm looking at going with a Fractal 202 Case.

                    Potentially w/ an 8700k processor.

My worry now is, what SFX PSU will fit and power both the 8700k and 2080TI Founders Edition?

Yeah, this will be my first Desktop build in quite some time. Ideally, I'd like an HTPC setup the size of the X1X, but I doubt I'll be able to find something like that, right? Fractal 202 case seems to be about the size of the Original X1. I guess that's close enough, for as much power as it'll be pushing.

First of the OS crew! A true badge of honor. Can’t wait to see the numbers for that beast.

Btw if your near a micro center they are selling the 8086Ks on a deal. Would be a nice combo.

Unfortunately we don't have any micro centers around here. Although I will be going out to LA this week. Wonder if they're around there... What's the deal on them Doc?
