Having a tough time deciding on this game. I sometimes get bored w/ RPG games as there isn't always enough action and the story takes too long to develop. Looking at some YouTube videos, seems to have a good amount of action. Already have enough games as is...Originally posted by MoJust once I'd like to be the one they call a jerk off.Originally posted by MoYou underestimate my lazinessOriginally posted by Mo**** ya

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Seriously, there are a lot of people on here thinking like you. Just do yourself a favor and get the game. It's an absolute masterpiece, I promise. And if you don't like it, you could always take it back. But I'm positive you won't regret getting it. Simple as that.Celtics Bruins Sox Eagles Liverpool

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Hey guys, yeah, I have my difficulty up to either the one above default, or two above. I can't recall which one I'm at. Default felt pretty easy after leveling up a little bit.
Dragon Related & Other "Boss" SPOILER

Krosis is the dude that I literally had a 1 hr battle with. I was exhausted, all of my potions, ingredients, foods, EVERYTHING was completely depleted, and I was almost dead.
Be prepared before you fight these guys.
Those are the toughest enemies I've encountered. Dragons are cake.PS: You guys are great.

Random loss of a side quest...(minor early game/ Riverwood side quest spoiler)
SpoilerSo I've been trying to find Faendal, the archery trainer in Riverwood, but he's never home. I've tried at all hours of the day and night to no avail. I finally gave up and looked in the guide to see if he had a schedule or something and found out he was tied to a quest with Sven (some love triangle deal). I tried to trigger that quest with Sven, but the subject never comes up.
Perplexed, I took one last look around his house to see if I could find him walking around or something. Well, I don't know what happened, but I found his body lying by a fence near his house.
So, from reading the guide, I find that I've missed out on an early archery trainer, potential companion and a side quest (which apparently also affects Sven as a companion-so that's a loss too).
The bright side is I, of course, looted the body and was able to get a couple decent weapons to sell, a bow to keep, and the key to his house (which had some ok loot inside). ****ty luck for Faelan (and for me getting a trainer), but I took his house as a consolation prize...nice spot for me to stash my stuff.
Part of me is disappointed in losing the quest, but I also kind of like the randomness of how it all went down and, since I never learned of it in-game, I don't feel cheated or anything.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
1) Dragon battles are sooooooooooooooooooo much more exciting than those Oblivion gates were. I hated those gates, but was so excited to see a random dragon yesterday.
2) Is there a huge difference between one handed and two handed or is just whatever style you prefer.DON'T PANICComment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Not sure if it was just random luck but I just found Elven armor on a random roadside bandit. Really hoping this isn't like Oblivion where every lowly bandit is running around with high level equipment as you level up. I know there is still some level scaling but will be disappointed if it's as bad as Oblivion's.
Anyone play 2 handed? If so does your block skill level when blocking with a 2 handed weapon? The block perks all seem to be geared towards shield use so just wondering how it works with a 2 handed weapon.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Here's the double edged sword. The game can be as action oriented as you want but one of the draws and probably the biggest for me, is the exploration and soaking up the "world" and not just zooming through it.Joshua:
