This game = value for money.
Yeah it is, this game has so many different ways to approach it that it is awesome. Right now I'm a one handed blade user with a shield but also use destruction and conjuration. A little restoration with the healing spell. I wear heavy armor and occasionally shoot a bow.

I'm balanced but I'm not great at one thing.

It should be against the law to make a game like this. It effects social skills, work habit, sleep schedule, and train of thought. Lol.

              Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I'm a junkie! Got two games going. One on PC one on 360.

First on the PC I wen ultra everything and not even a hiccup. It's gorgeous.

So on PC I'm playing as a Breton Necromancer. If you haven't summoned a zombie from a corpse you simple should try it once. Its awesome. Try it once! My Necromancer carries no weapons at all, no shields, no armor. Ever fight I summon a creature, buff my character, and go destruction. Once the bodies start to fall I start reanimating and they do my bidding. I just run around and shoot fireballs, lightning, etc. Now here's the REALLY cool part. I had to kill a giant spider at one point. For the hell of it I tried to make it my zombie not thinking that it would work...well it did! Giant Zombie Spider follower!

The game is a completely different experience than with my Kajiit assassin and I love that. What's even cooler and unexpected is the beginning of the game was a little different for each character.

I just like the fact that I can play it two ways, neither being the typical big Nord with a warhammer and heavy armor. Not that there's anything wrong with that but in some games I feel like to have a chance I have to be that guy. Not in Skyrim.

Oh and had my first random Dragon moment last night. Walking through the plains I see a huge shadow above me and this screeching noise. I look up and sure enough circling around me is a dragon. Man my heart started beating. I tried shooting some arrows at it but it was too high. After a few minutes he disappeared over the mountains into the clouds. So f'ing cool.

Also....Don't mess with Giants lol! I died once and the death cut scene was me flying about 1000 feet in the air.

I started over. The redgaurd heavy warrior grew thin on me at level 12 so I re-spec'd and went High Elf/one handed warrior/ rouge / mage, and joined the dark brotherhood and thieves guild. May be spreading myself a little thin but I found the blessing that lets you be invisible. Cant wait to start killing and thieving while noone can see me mwahhahahaha

But man was that redgaurd a beast...literally lol.

                  Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Just wrapped up an all night play-session (consisting of two separate characters-I started over and decided to be a Nordic beast). I've done virtually nothing (in terms of quests) but I'm a forging and looting mofo and I'm loving every minute of it. I just keep running around hunting animals for hides and looking for stuff to mine and loot and then going back to tan and trade so I can forge, forge, forge.

I'll probably start knocking out some quests (I do have several built up just from talking to people) and progress the main story a bit tonight, but I forgot how these games can suck you in through exploration alone. Add in the details (like the forging and mining) and it's easy to lose a whole night just playing around.

Where can you get a list of potions to make with alchemy? Am I supposed to just randomly add things together?

I don't usually get up early on Sundays, but Skyrim called to me in my sleep.

Fish, you can buy recipes at alchemy shops. You can also eat raw ingredients to find out effects.

If you don't wanna go that route, here's a list:

For other uses, see Alchemy. Alchemy is a skill in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and is one of the six skills that falls under The Thief play-style. Alchemy is the art of combining raw ingredients with matching effects to produce potions and poison. It is one of the three crafting skills in Skyrim, together with Smithing and Enchanting. It is affected by The Thief Stone and, as with all skills, by The Lover Stone. Bosmer, Breton, Khajiit, and Dunmer gain a +5 boost to Alchemy at the start of...

I'm sure online you can find it. But just eat every ingredient and it will tell you it's effect.
