I have picked up about 30 books. Is there any harm in selling them??? Thanks in advance

Make sure that you "read" the skill books before you sell them. I have a couple that I hold onto... just in case they have something to do with a treasure later on in the game.

All you had to do was open the book, no need to flip through the pages. I believe some of the books you must retrieve during quests, you may have to flip through them to get the next objective of the quest.

Also, anyone getting absolutely murdered by fireball mages? I can take on anything out there, and would much rather fight a ton of bandits/dragons/trolls then a fireball mage.

I put all the books I find on my bookshelf in Markath. Eventually I am gonna read em'.

And yeah, mages of any kind suck as far as fighting them goes. I stumbled upon three of them in one dungeon and it was chaos. Their fireballs do splash damage too. I didn't last long at all.

So is Daedric armor and weapons the best type in the game?

I've made my ancient Nordic longsword into a superior one through smithing and was deciding if I wanted to enchant it. I'm a level 14 right now and didn't know if I should go ahead and work on that or try to find a better weapon. Same with my steel armor. It's all either fine or superior.

Anything I should be trying to look for instead of improving what I have? I'm a Nordic warrior character-wise and have been working on my Two-Handed skills.

You'll get plenty of opportunities through the game to enchant your weaponry. And from what I've found, Daedric is definitely tops. That's I've crafted/found yet.

Just had my 1st random encounter with a dragon Was out in no mans land trying to sneak up on a giant at night and all of a sudden this moving shadow appears and then a load roar. I look up and the dragon is circlings. I ran like a little [cussword]

Only a level 11 and this game has me thinking about it day/night. Haven't really played this week as I worked a "Whopping" 70 hrs this week. I've never done that before but hey with the holidays coming up and some time off this upcoming week what the heck.

Mages are definitely a pain, as soon as I find something with a resist or absorb magic enchantment I am going to have to grind some enchant skill. Eventually I feel like I am going to have to switch to the Atronach Stone as well.

I also finally made it to the Mage's College and it was a boon to my skull collection, I am up to a dozen troll skulls and about 40 human skulls (might be even more, I had 25 after returning home from the college and I am not sure how many were already on the table but it seemed to be about doubled).

Ancient Nord stuff is actually pretty weak. It's equivalent to basic steel and is only better then iron equipment. You've got a lot of upgrades ahead of you. You do need to start working on enchanting at some point though so there's nothing wrong with starting now.

It kind of saddens me that the ancient nordic stuff was so weak, some of it looked really nice.

I feel kind of ashamed that I'm watching football and all I can think of is Skyrim.

We should start a Skyrim's Anonymous.

I lost some productivity at work this past week because a co-worker and I kept discussing our adventures.
