That's so crazy. I was just about to post how the "Vegan Weekend" went and one of the things my wife made was Kale Chips. I thought they were very good.

Anyways, the food hasn't been that bad at all. We had a Jicama salad, kale chips, cashew/date/fig bars, avocado tacos, and she's working on a quinoa recipe right now.

    Oh, and lots of water!

Just finished day 3 of P90x. I feel good but man the soreness is tough to overcome early on. Thank god tomorrow is Yoga or I would be in serious trouble.

I'm coming over to your house. So far the food has been really good. I had a big breakfast of fruit and cereal. Lunch I made veggie burgers from another video I found up on youtube which was fantastic. Dinner I had gnocchi with red wine sauce. I kept desert even more simple instead of making anything from the engine2diet by just having some natural dark chocolate 72% cocoa.

This has been much easier than I thought it would be. Plus those Kale Chips are incredible for a snack. I'm enjoying making / cooking new meals that I have never done before. I have to look into your Jicama salad as that has my interest peaked.

Very cool as I am starting P90x tomorrow when I get home from work! Keep me posted how you are doing. My legs are so sore from working at this past week plus all of the running.

            Man, that all sounds delicious.

Wife and I got some Robek's (smoothie place that does juicing as well) and I got a cool cucumber combo which is Cucumber, apples and ginger. Ginger was overpowering - but I managed, going to take some tomorrow.

I have been eating veggie burgers, lots of green veg like green beans, turnip greens and brussel sprouts. The flavors really are incredible when used with the right spices.

The downside, right now, is that I keep getting headaches the next day. I'm drinking plenty of water - have lots of energy, but it's like I dont' have headaches when I juice only.

Might have to consider another full juice week just to see if I curb my cravings and steer away from these weird headaches.

I went almost 20 days straight with headaches off and on. So far no headache as of yet. I also drink a ton of water but keep in mind I also dropped coffee from my daily activities. The last time I did a detox, I had headaches so it might have something to do with that.

I'll have to ask my wife for the recipe and let you know.

She made me peel and julienne the thing (not fun).

I started taking a green tea extract this morning. I hope it helps.

Best thing that has helped with soreness is drinking a lot of water and using a foam roller. As what others have said, your in for a rude awakening doing yoga.

I've tried the p90 version which is ok. Just make sure to breath deeply between poses, you'll open up more.

I've doing about 2 hours a day of yoga and its kicking my butt. It's crazy after half a year how its shaping my body. Doing chin stands, headstands, balancing on my arms like a break dancer, been having a great time learning more and more.

Gonna do a marathon with my teacher on Wednesday and take all 5 of her classes for my last day with her before I leave to the Philippines and do teacher training there.

Real excited to do it around the world now and take classes from different countries and understand the instructor without knowing their language.

I started green tea extract at the start of February as well as L-Carnitine. I take both at morning and night. All of the health benefits of the green tea make it more of a long-term supplement in my opinion, but I've heard it helps with fat loss. The L-Carnitine I'm taking to help with metabolism and fat loss directly.

So far the jury is still out on the L-C after a month, but I'm noticing some subtle improvements. The only thing is that it's possible I could have achieved this without the L-C (possibly). It costs about $10 a week for the L-C as well so the cost can add up. $40 a month for one vitamin/supplement seems a bit to me unless it's make a big difference. I'll give it another month or so and reevaluate.

I really wish it was easy to go vegan away at college. I really want to make the complete switch but I think my largely fruit and vegetable based diet is good enough for now. I think I'll make the switch when I come back over summer though.

I went vegetable/fruits for that first week, but recently I've been eating more meat.. mostly chicken, tuna, and turkey. Today I had some grilled steak with swiss cheese, green peppers, onions, and mushrooms. I don't think it will hurt too much.

                              Had to chuckle here...

Yoga was the WORST day for me... Definitely not easy. I thought it would be a break too... I was dead wrong.

Here is the recipe for the Jicama Salad: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/refresh...e7=Home%20Page

Tonight we had this Zesty Quinoa Salad: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/zesty-q...l%29&e7=Recipe

The quinoa dish was phenomenal. It's a little spicy (if you don't mind) but so flavorful.
