Simballer, do you know if we will be getting an ONLINE PDF Manual ala NBA 2K9 with an explanation of what the SLIDERS actually do? This would go along way in helping myself & others create SLIDERS for the community.

As of right now it's been difficult especially with the addition of so many new sliders in the Hitting & Pitching..

Thanks

Re: ***Official MLB 2K9 Retail Version Impressions***

Just started a new 'chise with Minny. I went to 2k share to check on any sliders (yeah, yeah ). Just because the other game seemed to be a hit fest. Found Guru's and had a heck of a game.

Minny (me) 3-13-1

Seattle (ai) 0-7-0

Liriano pitched one heck of a game - 8 k's (3 looking). Griffey gave me a scare against Ayala - sending a shot right to the wall with 2 on that Young made the catch on..

Good stuff!

Cool thing as well is that there were not a ton of extra base hits that I saw in the first game..

Isles (or others), how long are games taking? Are you playing with full presentation or "fast" mode?

Re: ***Official MLB 2K9 Retail Version Impressions***

I'd say that the CPU is more aggressive than it should be, but the issue has been WAY overblown. I've played about six innings on All-Star so far, and I have had at least six or seven called strikes on the first pitch.

I just went to a full count and caught the batter looking for a strikeout.

Otherwise, the game feels really good.

BTW, there are just four levels. Rookie->Pro->All-Star->Legend

I'm loving it so far. Whether the CPU takes strikes, is based on how good you execute the pitch.

New closer, same team. 5-5 game into the 9th, I bring in Kerry Wood, gives up 3 singles and a grand slam. YAY! LOL

Re: ***Official MLB 2K9 Retail Version Impressions***

From listening to impressions about people getting the CPU to take strikes it seems like the Living Roster Update may be helping with that issue.

For those playing, are you seeing the AI having a hard time hitting the breaking stuff. From my time with the game over the weekend I saw the AI basically swinging & missing a lot on breaking stuff almost to the point where throwing it was money
