Looking forward to all the different impressions today. Could anyone also confirm if the patch did get released today?

Yes, the patch was released this morning and I can confirm it as far as the 360 version. In another thread, a PS3 user also said that it had a patch as well this morning.

The questions I have,

How rewarding/realistic is the zone/cursor model?

If the ball hits the handle...do you hit dribblers?

If you swing slightly early and hit underneath the ball, do you hit a shallow pop fly?

If you get the bat-head on an inside fastball, but are slightly late on the swing, do you Jeter the ball to the opposite field? (keeping hands inside the ball like he does so well)

Does the ball seem to go where it should in relation to pitch location, swing timing, and bat contact?

With practice, will this hitting model give us the challenge/reward that many of us are craving in a baseball game?

Thanks!"
Cursor Hitting is very hard. Especially if your using the swing stick & have the pitch speed over 65. From the time I've used-it, it seemed very good & the hit variety was there.

It's probably the most challenging Hitting System I've seen/used. It's gonna take a lot of getting used to & much practice.

I agree with GURU on this game, I am having a blast playing it. The graphics are beautiful and the shadowing and time of day effects are amazing. I have read where people were having the problem with the batter aggression and I havent noticed it to be a problem to the extent many are complaining about. I have hit the edges of the strikezone many times without the computer hacking at it. I have also been successful in getting the computer to look at a third strike as well. All in all I am very impressed with this years version, but that isnt hard to do when compared to last years trash.

No the cursor appears right before the pitcher releases the ball. That just adds another element in why using Cursor with the Swing Stick is oh so hard... Especially if you have the Pitch Speed high

sure they could pass on a cockshot a little more, but I am confident that this could be ironed out to my satifaction at least.

Look I was thinking what most of us here were thinking, Deciding to buy a ps3 just for the show.It is the prettiest baseball game Ive seen, but I own a 360 and this game (To me anyway) Is a blast,Do not rely on these posts to make or break you. there is a excellent game here.
