Re: Official Boston Red Sox 2005 Thread

Got to love what this team is doing without it's #1 and 2 starters. 8 of their last 9, including 2 straight walk-offs. Plus, if Millar get's back to his narmal production this offense should be getting better and better. Now if only Mueller and Bellhorn could hit a HR...

Millar had 3 HR's at the end of May last year, this is his normal production. He's always been a streaky hitter so eventually he'll come around.

I wish they could find a way to get Youkilis into the lineup more but it's not going to happen this year. Ideally I would like to see Youk at 3rd and move Mueller to 2B but I don't think that's something you can do mid season unless you're forced to. Bellhorn is frustrating to watch but he's still the best #9 hitter in baseball. I just wish we could get some more productive outs from him with runners in scoring position.

The team is playing well against sub-par competition. Thats not to say they still dont have issues (Manny, Foulke) but its good to see them on a roll, especially without Schilling and Wells.

As Bellhorn hits a longball against Piniero.....nice.

And then Johnny extends the streak to 19 games.

I hate west coast games and their 10 o clock start time. Normally not that big of a problem for me, but combine that with mono and watching baseball is an impossibility.
