Re: NCAA 14 - OS Community + Playmakers Split Sliders

Thanks, JP - I know it's all about about the momentum, and kill factor. Cowher and I worked on it a bit, and this is a good set up I believe.

HFA is back on. Cowher made a great point that 1. we have never tried this low of thershold with it on and 2. the momentum has to be there for the CPU. Without it on, you don't get much of a sense they are in it to win it - now with it on, it's completely different. The CPU started their series in my last game with 2 bombs down the sideline, never seen that before. Try it out.

RBA has been changed from 40 to 30. The reason being, I started to notice less direct running by the CPU and too many broken tackles. With it on 30 - you see them go for that 1st down marker more deliberately, and with purpose. I loved this threshold for a reason, and it was because of the RBA on 30 (from one of the previous sets when we had it on 60 thresh); it was a thing of a beauty. Please try that out.

RBL needed to go back to how good Josh had it before - and I think it's great now. Not too hard, but not overly difficult. You will be stopped, and the first tackler will tackle you now that RBA is lowered (and closer to the 20 tak in terms of value differential). I also noticed that the defensive players are "pushed" rather than "held" into position - which is how it should be.

Subtle changes, but should pay off.

I fired the game up quick vs Vandy just to see how these would respond. I purposely tanked 4 possessions before I really started playing.I did shut the game off before I finished I was down 31-0 midway through the 4th. Once Vandy was up big ole mo was there at one point they rand the ball 12 plays in a row all for 3-6 a pop and then hit me with a play action to drive that nail in a bit deeper. There defense playing with a big lead was a thing of beauty I had no chance of winning and a slim chance of even scoring. Will be replaying this game shortly to see how it turns out without tanking I dont think I will be able to have 5 turnovers and be in the game. Nice find, about 3am I played with the similar sliders remembering the whole rb ability at a lower number and the direct route which played well but I also lowered tackling and it played out decent but to many missed tackles with it on 10.

Awesome to hear, guys. Please input if you have an easy time with the run game - I want to make sure that does not rear its ugly head again. I have fixed this, but if people are enjoying it as it is, then I won't post the update.

Yeah, what is that fix? I'm playing as Tulane against Ohio State and Tulane's O-line is firing off the line pushing them three or four yards downfield. Based on the ratings, that should NOT happen consistently.

Okay, good that you saw what Cowher and I were seeing.

Very simply; HUM RBA to 30; HUM RBL to 5 and CPU RDEF to 100. I also inputted the penalty settings we had before with False Start @ 80 and Clipping @ 35.
