NBA 2K16 Adds '07-'08 Boston Celtics & '12-'13 Miami Heat to List of Classic Teams

2K Sports has added the '07-'08 Boston Celtics (previously revealed) and '12-'13 Miami Heat to the list of classic teams in NBA 2K16.

There will be 12 new classic teams added this year, 8 of them have now been confirmed.

Here is the list of confirmed classic teams so far:

'12-'13 Miami Heat
'03-'04 Detroit Pistons
'07-'08 Houston Rockets
'99-'00 Toronto Raptors
'07-08 Boston Celtics
'00-'01 Los Angeles Lakers
'02-'03 Dallas Mavericks
'99-'00 Portland Trail Blazers

Two more teams will be revealed next Thursday.

A little bummed on the '13 Heat, only because it's still so easy to replicate them on our own, with most of the players, same jerseys, and same court art all already included in the game. I like modern retros, but that might be a little too modern for me even.

Phoenix is gonna have to wait another week I guess, but that's a HUGE stinger for the '06 Heat fans. They're probably eliminated from contention at this point now.

I can dig it. Would really like the '05-06 Heat also.

But whats up with 90's teams? Still noticeable ones missing. Seems like the announced classic teams so far are just ones where most of the players are already in the game.

Oh true, the '06 Heat would have been much cooler in my opinion.

Stunned, I thought they were only going with 2000s teams, 12-13 was two years ago! We can make that team already in NBA 2K15!

Boooo, lame and useless selection with the Heat.
Celtics are okay. I will be very disappointed if they leave the Suns out.

Best part of this is that we get to play with Shuttlesworth...he has one of the best scans in the game..

Don't know if he would've been in the FA pool this year...

Really was getting my hopes up for that '06 team, our 15 Strong team. I'd settle for this though, at least we have a Heat team in.

Worth noting: Ray Allen, Rashard Lewis, and Shane Battier already retired.

Ray Allen was on both of these teams (which seems key for them being announced simultaneous), and is likely not in the free agent pool.

Naw, the Thunder...yeah I would rather them have 06 Heat....I think they could have grabbed 99 Knicks, 96 Heat

Truth be told, I would have been happier had it been the 2006 Heat with White Chocolate, G.P., Zo, Flash, Shaq, etc.

I probably won't even really play with the '12 - '13 Heat cause it's not fun.
