The legend himself is back, excited to see this and I think the Grizz are a good first pick

Thanks a lot man I'm def excited to have this up and going and gives me a reason for next gen. I ended up just doing the Harden trade from yesterday so didn't have to do a restart. I'm going to try and slow myself down for the first year and not get in to much of a rush.

It's going to be hard for Memphis to compete without JJJ so the playoffs year 1 seems unlikely from my test. They have a lot of solid young role type players maybe even a little to many. I may have to find a way to condense them somehow.

This is a cool concept and idea -- I'll be watching to see where this goes.

Thanks I think it will work out and keep things fresh both for me and the people casually following along. I'm sure I'll have to do some small tweaks along the way. The hardest part will probably be leaving the teams after I get attached to them at the end of year 3.

Christmas Game vs Spurs

Memphis came into the 11th game of the year playing better then expected with a record of 5-5. It was a surprise to many that Memphis and San Antonio would be playing on Christmas Day.

At half the game was very close with near identical stats and lead by Ja's 18 points. San Antonio would pull away in the 4th quarter as Memphis would get cold scoring just 17 points.

Ja lead the way for Memphis with 28 points, 10 assist and shooting 9 FT's. Dillon Brooks continues his hot start for the year with a efficient 18 points. Clark didn't have his best game despite going for 18 and 12 as he shoot just 7 for 20. Kyle Anderson had a intriguing game with 6 assist and 4 blocks from the PF spot. Another bright spot in limited time has been Tyus Jones who may be helping his trade value if he can keep this play up. DeRozan had 29 points to lead the Spurs. Allen and Bane are showing promise with their shooting off the bench.

4 blocks on the night by Anderson

I would suggest you give yourself the option to stay for an additional X amount of years IF you complete your goals. At that point you can claim the owner wants to re-up your contract and you get to stay on for an additional 1-3 years, but with an increased difficultly in goals; at that point if you feel close to a title, you can stay on and see it through. Or bounce and go somewhere else if you feel like a new challenge.

And if you don't accomplish those goals, then you're out -- much like real life, hitting your goals or not will determine your fate. Every sports league is a "what have you done for me lately?" place -- even championships only go so far.

14 Interesting Draft Prospects

This is our debut article and talking about the upcoming NBA draft. The 2021 draft (historic 85) is considered one of the deepest in recent memory. We aren't going to go in depth here we just want to give a brief overview of 14 interesting players. With such a star studded class you see why some are starting to wonder if its best for Memphis to not make the playoffs this year. The scouting is still underway for all of these guys the early reports we are hearing is the top 3 targets for Memphis are SG Joe Dumars, SF Chris Mullin and SF Detlef Schrempf. The obvious issue is Memphis may have to many wins to get those guys without a trade up.

C Patrick Ewing
A lock to go 1st overall unless the team drafting 1 has a elite C.

PF Karl Malone
Will go 2nd overall a elite PF prospect

SF Xavier McDaniel
Tough physical guy that should be able to play both F spots

PF Hot Rod Williams
A PF/C combo that goes in the tail end of the lottery

SG Joe Dumars
Many consider him to be the best defense player in the class

SF Chris Mullin
A elite knockdown shooter

SF Detlef Schrempf
A big 6'10 F if he can shoot he could go top 5.

PF Charles Oakley
A old school tough physical guy that can rebound and defend. Does he fit todays game ?

PF A.C Green
A durable and reliable glue guy off the bench that likely goes outside top 10.

PG Terry Porter
Should be able to shoot at the next level

C Manute Bol
Super intriguing 7'7 C that is a beast on the glass and blocking shots. He can even shoot

PF Wayman Tisdale
Raw with a lot of upside

PG Spud Webb
short and super athletic PG that may not go until the 2nd round

SG Mario Ellie
A shooter that should fit on any team's 2nd unit likely goes outside the lottery
