Re: NBA 2K - Georgiafan's 3 year realistic rebuilds / remasters
NBA Draft Lottery With Video Below you will find the full 4 minute of the draft lottery. ![]() ![]() Biggest Winners Grizzles - Some people criticized Memphis for not tanking the final week of the season as they ended up winning 5 of their final 6 games. When Portland jumped up that made the 6th pick their most likely destination. Just like during the Ja draft they are rewarded for not tanking and jump up from 5 to 2. Trailblazers - Their pick was lottery protected so they were also going to keep it. A monumental moment for the franchise as they jump all the way up from 8 to 1. They were rumblings they would blow it up and now they can add someone like Patrick Ewing or Karl Malone to give Dame some help. Thunder - Yes they dropped down with their own pick from 1 to 3. They are still winners as the Houston draft swap was top 4 protected. In the end they will have picks 3 and 5 and instantly will become one of the most fun franchises in the league. Biggest Losers Rockets - Heartbreaking moment and the Russell Westbrook trade now likely will go down as one of the worst in recent memory. They desperately needed it to land in the top 4 where they would have keep it. Bulls - They drop down from 4 to 2 which likely takes them out of the Karl Malone sweepstakes. Pistons - They drop from 4 to 6 where Joe Dumars will probably be gone. * This wasn't rigged or anything I just got lucky

Re: NBA 2K - Georgiafan's 3 year realistic rebuilds / remasters
NBA Draft - Remaining SF Preview Here we will do a quick recap of the rest of the noteworthy SF prospects. We have already talked about Detlef Schrempf and will save Chris Mullin for his own article. ![]() Name Xavier McDaniel Draft Projection Top 10 Best Fit #9 Warriors, #10 Hornets, #11 Pacers Overview He is another jack of all trades and master of none prospect. While he doesn't have a elite skill is he pretty much solid in all areas. He can defend the perimeter and also does a respectful job defending the post. He is 6'7 and 218 so he can play some 4 as well. Despite being a old school type player he has some athleticism that's why he is listed as a SF. He can rebound as well. He even does some things that's not going to show up in the box score like draw fouls and play smart. If your going to name his biggest weakness it would be his 3 point shoot. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- ![]() Name Allen Washington Draft Projection Mid 1st Best Fit #14 Kings, #20 Raptors, #24 Nuggets Overview He has great size at 6'9 and 232 pounds. He is excellent at shooting near the rim. While he is a neutral athlete he does have great lateral quickness. He is a good not great 3 point shooter. His mid range shoot is awful and he doesn't have playmaking skills. Despite his size his post defense is awful so will have trouble defending the old school type 4's. Another thing against him playing the 4 is he is a bad rebounder. -------------------------- ![]() Name Connor Ellis Draft Projection Late 1st / Early 2nd Best Fit #17 Wizards, #22 Pelicans, #30 Bucks Overview In short he is a 3 point specialist who doesn't have a secondary skill. He has size at 6'7 and 232, but is a bad rebounder and can't score inside. He is another one that is a bad defender and FT shooter. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Honorable Mention Arvydas SimunicHe will go in the 2nd half of the 1st round and is sort of a discount version of Xavier McDaniel. He is a combo F with good size that can rebound. Drew Cheeks A tall 6'9 3 & D prospect that will go late in the 20's. Luis West A good shooter that's a solid defender and a athlete. He can't do much else on offense but shoot. |

Re: NBA 2K - Georgiafan's 3 year realistic rebuilds / remasters
NBA Draft PF Preview ![]() Name Karl Malone Draft Projection Top 3 Best Fit #1 Trailblazers, #3 Thunder Overview A hall of fame level prospect that won't fall past the Thunder at 3. His old school post up game is going to cause nightmares with so many 4's that can't defend the post in the league. He has a good mid range jumper. He will also be going to the FT line a lot. He will defend the post so not just a offense guy. The negative is that he isn't a threat from 3 so will need to be paired with a stretch 5. His rebounding needs a little work. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- ![]() Name Hot Rod Williams Draft Projection Top 10 Best Fit #8 Pistons, #10 Hornets, #14 Kings Overview He is skinny 215 pounds at 6'11 so in the modern game his best fit is likely at the 5. He can score posting up and is also a dunker. He can defend so no issues on that side of the ball. He is just a ok rebounder and is no threat to shoot outside the paint. He likely never makes a all star team, but can be a quality starting C. -------------------------- ![]() Name Charles Oakley Draft Projection Top 10 Best Fit #6 Pistons, #9 Cavs, #10 Hornets Overview The definition of a old school player a tough physical guy at 6'9 245. Lets get the negative out of the way he has no offense game. He is also slow and not a athlete. He is a elite rebounder expect to see him in the top 10 his rookie year. He is also a quality defender. Despite his size is another guy that likely has to play the 5. He will need to be paired in the right situation in the frontcourt. ----------------------------------------------------------- ![]() Name A.C Green Draft Projection Late 1st Best Fit #19 Spurs, #27 Nets, #30 Bucks Overview He could play some small ball 5 in the right matchup, but in general he is a 4. He is kind of a raw player with upside and doesn't have any skills that just jump out at you. He is a versatile defender that can rebound. He isn't going to add much on offense for you more of a glue guy off the bench. He is extremely durable and will always hustle and also loved by his teammates. The kind of guy you want draft, but could end up falling on draft day for other more skilled guys. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Honorable Mention Wyman TisdaleA left handed scorer with upside at 6'9 and 245. Ronald Elliot A odd player despite being huge at 7'0 and 259 is better suited for the 4 then the 5. I guess that's because he cant protect the rim. He offense is what will get him drafted somewhere in the late teens. Coby Westbrook A 6'9 233 pound offense prospect that will go in the 2nd round. If it wasn't for being historically bad at rebounding and defending he would be a 1st round prospect. Joe Patrick A athlete and a finisher that plays no defense Thomas Floyd Yet another bad defender that will be drafted because his offense. His shooting being his best skill |

Re: NBA 2K - Georgiafan's 3 year realistic rebuilds / remasters
NBA Draft C Preview ![]() Name Patrick Ewing Draft Projection Top 3 Best Fit #1 Trailblazers,#2 Memphis Overview Close to a lock for the 1st overall pick and is another Hall Of Fame type prospect. He has a great post up game so the modern C's better get ready. He can also score from the mid range. While many people don't think the perimeter defense is for real mostly bc his lack of athleticism. His post defense is as good as it gets all defensive level type player. His rebound is solid for now. The athleticism we mentioned is a issue for example he is slow and doesn't have a vertical. He isn't going to be attempting any 3's. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- ![]() Name Manute Bol Draft Projection 10 to 20 Best Fit #10 Hornets, #14 Kings, #15 76ers Overview He is what makes the draft so fun at 7'7 200 who knows what will happen with him in the NBA. He is obviously a great shoot blocker that's his best skill. His rebounding isn't a slam dunk because he could get pushed around being so thin. His rebounding doesn't grade out tremendously, but with his length likely makes up for it. He can score at the rim some and his best post up move is the hook. Overall he isn't going to be a threat posting up. He can surprisingly shoot the 3 a little. As you would expect he is a awful athlete. ------------------------------------------------------------------- ![]() Name Jon Konack Draft Projection Late 1st Best Fit #17 Wizards, #24 Nuggets, #27 Nets Overview A really good post defender and a + rebounder that was projected to go much higher before the year started. He doesn't have a offense game at the moment. He does have some upside. ----------------------------------------------------------- ![]() Name Bill Wennington Draft Projection Late 1st / Early 2nd Best Fit #30 Bucks Overview He projects more as a backup offense big without a lot of upside. His offense game is mostly mid range and is fine at finishing at the rim. His rebounder is below average and won't get you many blocked shots. -------------------------------------------------------------- ![]() Name Jimmy Williamson Draft Projection Late 1st / Early 2nd Best Fit #27 Nets, #29 Lakers, #30 Bucks Overview A really good rebounder especially on the offense glass. He can shoot from mid range and 3. His inside scoring needs some work and doesn't have a post up game. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Honorable Mention Will Craig A athlete that can dunk and that's about it Brett Robinson A very raw player with some upside that goes late 2nd round. He is a 3 level scorer that can't rebound or defend despite being 7'0 270. J.T Garner He likely goes early 2nd round and can defend the post and rebound. His only offense game is mid range shoot and his standing dunk. |

Re: NBA 2K - Georgiafan's 3 year realistic rebuilds / remasters
I ended up accidently going overboard on the draft coverage this year. I guess I was bored and excited lol. I'll cut back on it going forward.
Should Memphis Draft Mullin at 2? First lets talk about Chris and what he brings to the table. He is a knock down 3 point shooter if you leave him open your going to pay. He will hit mid range and can shoot off the dribble and has deep range. When your talking about a elite prospect his shooting is about as good as your going to get. He can also put the ball on the floor and hit a driving layup. While that's not his calling card he already grades out as league average. He will also draw some fouls and is a excellent FT shooter. He is never going to be a all world defender, but his defense checks out better then expected. He will be fine on that side of the floor. The negatives are he isn't a playmaker and isn't going to grab a lot of rebounds. Even though athletically he checks out ok he doesn't have a vertical so isn't a dunker. Before the year even started Memphis had 3 main options with the other two being Dumars and Schrempf. After jumping up to #2 it seems like its now down to Mullin and Dumars. It doesn't appear like they are interested in a trade down with a roster that already has 15 people in it plus you have a early 2nd round pick. Even if someone was offering multiple first round picks playing time is already going to be a major issue. You don't have any bad salaries your looking to move. Joe Dumars would give you a #1 option on defense while Mullin gives you a 2nd scorer and floor spacer for Ja. Memphis last year was in the 20's for 3 % and defense so they are both equal in terms of need. We will find out tomorrow who is going to be the pick and it will shape this entire team for the next two years. College Stats 31.1 PPG, 7.4 REB, 4.7 AST, 1.5 STL, 1.3 BLK, 51 FG %, 38 3%, 79FT % ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Re: NBA 2K - Georgiafan's 3 year realistic rebuilds / remasters
2021 NBA Draft Results 1. Trailblazers - C Patrick Ewing (79 ovr) Franchise changing player that gives them the front court star they have been missing. 2. Grizzles - SF Chris Mullin - (79 ovr) Elite shooter that will benefit from Ja's driving 3. Thunder - PF Karl Malone(79 ovr) Elite low post scorer that is a major upgrade from what they had 4. Bulls - SG Joe Dumars (77 ovr) This will ramp up the Levine trade rumors 5. Thunder - SF Detlef Schrempf (77 ovr) Knockdown shooter that will make teams pay when they double Karl Malone. 6. Knicks - J.R O'neal (77 ovr) (trade up) They trade up 2 spots and get the best PG in the class. This should finally put a end to their PG woes 7. Cavs - SF Xavier Mcdaniel (78 ovr) They were kind of stuck without a perfect fit and trade partner. They go for the safe choice to compete with last years top 10 pick. 8. Pistons - PF Charles Oakley (78 ovr) (trade down) In the trade down they get the 4th pick in 2nd round a future 2nd and dump the contract of Plumlee. He will be the starting C and will pair with their young stretch 4's once they get rid of Blake. 9. Warriors - PF Sebastiao Viana They go BPA a stretch 4 and all of a sudden their front court for the future is set. 10. Hornets - PF Hot Rod Williams (77 ovr) Frontcourt was a major need and they take the best guy on the board. 11. Pacers - Wyman Tisdale (75 ovr) He gives them a true 4 something they didn't have last year 12. Magic - PG Terry Porter (74 ovr) He will likely move to the 2 and make for a nice trio of young G's with Fultz and Anthony. This probably means Fournier is gone in FA. 13. Warriors - Tim Vincent (75 ovr) Tough call between him and the defense G Yi. Tim is a fantastic athlete that will get brought along slowly and provide depth behind Klay. 14. Kings - C Manute Bol (74 ovr) The 7'7 shot blocker makes them a fun team and means Bagley slides to the 4. 15. 76ers - SG Shane Kerr (70 ovr) Don't let the overall fool you he already has B+ in 3 point shooting and perimeter defense. They have a scary defense team with Ben, thybulle and Joel. They think he will be the next Covington. 16. Jazz SF Arvydas Simunic (74 ovr) The versatile F can learn under Bojan and Ingles 17. Wizards SG Martin Peterson (73 ovr) Excellent pick the shooter can replace George Hill if he isn't brought back or start at PG if they trade Westbrook 18. Hawks - Mauchung Yi (73 ovr) The defense specialist won't be getting any minutes this year with all the depth they have. You can never have enough defense wings around Trae. 19. Spurs - PF Ronald Elliot (76 ovr) They didn't have a true 4 last year so he fills a need 20. Grizzles - PG Gheorge Stefan (75 ovr) (trade up) A surprise pick that we will have more on later. Memphis trades up and takes the speedy PG that graded out better then expected in defense and shooting. A lot of teams were scared to take him higher since he is just 5'9. 21. Suns - PG Dion Justice (72 ovr) The dynamite offense player hopefully will get a year to learn under Chris Paul. 22. Pelicans - SF Allen Washington (75 ovr) Without any holes they go BPA 23. Knicks - SF Luis West (73 ovr) He has a lot of potential and should get minutes. 24. Nuggets - C Jon Koncak (74 ovr) Jokic didnt have a true backup last year and this team always needs def and rebounding 25. Celtics - PG Clayton Daniels (73 ovr) They go BPA and it will be hard for him to get minutes unless Kemba is moved. Even if he never develops he will provide offense off the bench 26. Rockets - SF Drew Cheeks (73 ovr) A little raw but is a 3& D player and it was a position of need 27. Nets - PF A.C Green (74 ovr) This is our favorite fit in the draft a true PF that will be a glue guy and does all the small things. 28. Clippers - PG Sam Vincent (72 ovr) Another excellent pick the playmaker PG is going to the perfect team and could start 29. Lakers- C Jimmy Williamson (72 ovr) He can replace what you had in Gasol can defend, rebounding and shoot and might even be the starter 30. Bucks - PF Gilbert Richmond (73 ovr) With a pretty weak bench they couldn't go wrong and grab someone that get some bench minutes right away 2nd round Big Names Thunder - 1st pick - SG Mario Ellie (71 ovr) Pelicans - 6th pick - C Bill Wennington (72 ovr) Jazz - PG Spud Webb (70 ovr)

Re: NBA 2K - Georgiafan's 3 year realistic rebuilds / remasters
I don't hate the Mullin pick, obviously, but I wonder what a front court of Malone and Jackson would've looked like. Malone at the five as a PnR partner with Ja and then JJJ as a stretch option would have been deadly. Mullin and Morant has some potential as the Grizz version of Run TMC, which should be a ton fun.

Re: NBA 2K - Georgiafan's 3 year realistic rebuilds / remasters
During this thought process I never thought about Malone on my team as I knew he would go top 2 and I figured I would be 11-14 and I wasn't trading up for him. Then when I jumped up I started thinking about it and become torn along with trading back a little and taking Dumars. One of the main reasons I decided against it is I'm not sure if JJJ can be the starting 5 in sims as the CPU struggles with him grabbing rebounds. His rebounding rating is awful like a D which I can get around when I control him. I also like the trio of bags I have with Clarke, JJJ and Jonas. I'll add a defense C in FA and then I'll be set in the front court. I also have Kyle Anderson at the 4 and I want to test out Winslow at the 4 this year. I guess I would have had to trade a big if i took Malone so it became easier to just take Mullin and plug him into the starting 3 and not play the Grayson Allen's of the world. Yea that's the plan this year I'm changing to pace and space and going to up the tempo. Since I traded up for the PG that will allow me to always have a PG that can play tempo. It should make for a lot of fun on my end. |
