I'm trying to do ranked seasons but half the time people request a friendly quit before the game even starts, I guess they see that Trout and know the pipe is coming.

I've played 5 games this season, gone 4-1 --- my opponent quit out of 3 of the wins before they even got to bat after I jumped them in the top of the 1st, and I just got this guy to quit after Trout hit his 3rd homer. He is magic.

Less and less patiently waiting for new Indians players to drop. Played a few ranked seasons games and then decided to clear the conquest map for the 6th time. Now at six conquest 10-packs with nothing above a silver. While finishing the map, I finished the Dodgers hitting stats and the Jackie Robinson Dodgers player stats. I'm also going to try to finish the Yankees Team Epic this week, which would put me at four. 100 IP short and I need a lot of hitting stats, but those are pretty easy to get. I'm sorely in need of a lefty power bat for my bench or to platoon at 1B with V Mart, so that all-time Indians great Jason Giambi will do nicely haha

100% jealous of Trout. Even if I sold all of my assets I don't think I could afford him. My only loss the past few days: he had Trout. Everything he hits is solid when I face him.

I'm close to selling a few event rewards: Gagne & Upton. If I do that I might just buy Bryce Harper because I'm a big fan of his. I am sitting on like 110k right now and selling those would give me a base of like 60k to work with for exchanges.

Or I just might sell off my cards that I can and use all the cards I can't sell.

I've completed 2 team epics: STL & MIL. I'm pretty close with PHI and SD as well. I think I have 2 additional teams with 100+ IP. I need 128 IP for BAL smh...then I get Davis.

Hate these team epics but the grind eliminates a jersey exchange for an immortal which is expensive.

Here's to hoping the new event reward is legit!

I’m working on the MR Justin Verlander now. I had grabbed a pack when they were released and got my hands on a Brandon Crawford (which I flipped for 130k almost immediately). Looked last night, and I wound up snatching him up for 73-74k, which forced me into grabbing stiripling & dropping tickets on Brantley.

Probably a stupid use of tickets, but I’m an Astros fan, and I love me some Verlander

I finally finished Gary Carter last night, and also completed Don Sutton in his debut, in the same game. Great success!

I've had 40 White Sox jerseys, 34 Blue Jays hats, and a lot of Matt Olson's since close after launch, and as a bonus, Olson went silver so I was able to sell off a bunch and still have the correct number of points leftover.

Watch them change the requirements on us now.

I'm a little concerned about that too. I've got the necessary jerseys and hats for Albert Belle according to the current way career arcs work, but if the new players are more difficult to get, I wonder if that means the missions will be harder or if the exchanges will also be pricier.

Pretty damn certain the missions will be more of a grind, and hopefully the latter isn't true

This is straight from the q and a:

Q: Is there anything you can tell us about the unreleased Career Arc Programs that are needed to complete the Immortals?

A: Sure! The next wave of Career Arc Programs is in development, and we are aiming to release all of those Programs around the end of this month (June). That means once they are released, the final bridge leading to Immortals can be crossed.

A few Legends will be making their Diamond Dynasty debut in the new Career Arc Programs, including Frank Thomas, and other hidden Legends. Each Career Arc Program ends with a Diamond player reward, and the overalls range from 89 to 97 OVR, which means some of these Programs will be considerably more challenging to complete than others.

More information and revelations will be on the way. In the meantime, the best way to prepare for your march towards the Immortals is to complete the existing Career Arcs and Position Programs, and we will be adding another dozen Position Programs in the coming weeks. In other words, there’s a ton of content coming to MLB The Show 18, plus the All-Star Summer events, missions and rewards!
Oh God I really hope exchanges aren't crazy. That would be the worst

Decided to get started on conquest extreme, got through Cubs , Rockies and Brewers comfortably the first attempts but i get the feeling that's the easiest it gets.

Re: What are you working on thread

I frankly, can't be arsed buying all the souvenirs that I'll surely need to complete the next batch of career arcs, so instead I'm completing the bobblehead and autograph bat collections with a view to then exchanging them all into more souvenirs when the career arcs come along (except keeping the ones that can be used obviously). The bobblheads took no time at all and wasn't particularly expensive, but the bats are cray expensive and take a while. I'm up to 17/29 and can afford probably 5 more, but then I'll have to either sell stuff or play a hell of a lot more to get the remaining maybe 25k required.

I still have a fairly large amount of duplicates from my 150 packs that I opened a couple of weeks ago, so I'm working my way through the tedious process of selling them all. I hopefully have another 10-15k's worth there, so then I'd have a lot of pretty easy options to make the other 10k (could sell some of my Gerrit Coles, could sell Paxton, could sell Severino, could sell some golds)

Re: What are you working on thread

Finally finished the innings for Hoffman, meaning I've joined the ranks of saddo's who have completed all the player arc and position programs, to go with my all but completed Pujols, Griffey, Piazza, Ryan and Gossage immortals. Team epic wise I've only completed the Cards (stupid Bob Gibson CG missions!) and the Rays, but I've done the hitting for a bunch of them. I've gone past 100 innings with the Padres, Rangers and Brewers, so I'll finish them hopefully at some point to make 5, which I'll either use to complete the Jackie immortal or maybe but it towards one of the others, but that would mean another 167 hats.

My autographed bats are coming along well, I only need 2 more to complete the set but have run out of stubs. I just need to sell about another 60 random common and bronze duplicates and I'll be done.

Unlocked FS Gleyber about an hour ago.

8 AB, 5 H, 4 HR, 2B, 7 RBI.. and I finished the single game mission in one conquest game.

This is probably my SS going forward.

Gleyber is the way to go. Ever since I unlocked him I tossed the career arch diamon Hanley to the side. Moved Correa to 3rd and I’ve got gleyber pumping out hits
