They won't patch anything for this. I wouldn't say anything is broken because they intended it to be this way imo. Most players don't want a game to last over a hour so being able to have a bunch of 1-3 pitch ABs is fine for them. SDS possibly makes the stamina attributes low because of that and it creates guys tired on the 5th and 6th innings even if they only have 65-70 pitches.

Tried lowering CPU Contact to 5 and it didn't seem to make much difference in Strikeouts. Still only got no more than 4 for my starter. Could lowering timing make the CPU swing and miss more? It seems like I can strike them out easily in the first 2 innings but after that the CPU doesn't swing and miss with 2 strikes. I'm considering trying a game dropping the difficulty level for pitching but I still like the way the CPU works the count on HOF.

Really weird. I would lower CPU Timing and that should get them to swing and miss more. You can raise User Control back to 5 if you want.

I had 10 K’s with my starter last night using fictional rosters, HOF pitching with user control at 4, CPU contact at 5 and foil frequency at 2. Everything else remains unchanged from the OP.

Try playing on legend for pitching. Everything default for the CPU hitting except foul frequency at 4 and solid hits at 4. Raise human pitcher control to 5 and consistency to 5. The game will be "re-born" for you.

Hmmm, you have me intrigued by this. Does the CPU feel overpowering like they can hit anything any everything no matter where it’s pitched though?

I'll try that too. But I kind of like the fact that 4 is making me issue more walks.

Maybe let me ask this....when you all get the CPU down to 2 strikes, how do you pitch the ball after that? Do you just tap the button? Or do you hold it down the button for a little more power and break?

I mix it up a little. I tend to follow my catcher’s suggestion for pitch and location probably 90% of the time. If he calls for the same pitch twice or 3 times in a row I will change my button press length. Most times I’m just looking at the pitcher’s motion and finding a spot that looks like a reasonable release point lol.
The game I just finished I had 12 strikeouts total. I did also walk 3 and give up 15 hits though (13 were singles).

I don’t vary by count, but by situation. With nobody on base I tap, runner on first I’ll do a firm but quick press, and anyone in scoring position I hold the button until the pitcher reaches the point where he cocks his arm to throw - which of course varies by pitcher. I started doing this as a way to mimic the amount of energy a pitcher uses per pitch when he’s in pressure situations.

That’s pretty much what I do too, you just explained it way better than I did lol.

Yo Bryan when was the last time you updated the sliders because I could’ve sworn u had a V2 slider set and not the 1.1? It’s showing y’all haven’t posted anything in this thread in a month. I truly believe this is cap and I just can’t see the messages

It's the damn board upgrade. It has wiped out a month of posts and tons of regular users are no longer posting for some reason.

Supposedly things should be back to normal in about a week.

I didn't realize that they didn't keep the original post the same and it reverted back to that version as well. I will update the OP once I get home and see the settings. I can't remember them exactly off hand but I believe they are below.

                              User:
                              Contact: 6

                              Foul: 0
                              Solid Hits: 3
                              Control: 4
                              Consistency: 4
