He's throwing more breaking pitches this year than he has at any point in his career which has to tell you something about how he feels about his fastball.

If i'm AA I'm not taking the risk of giving him a qualifying offer.
I second this, if he does pitch in the AL it shouldn't be the East...

      Melky injured again.

I say in September, Jays should just tell everyone who's injured to just stop playing and go on the DL lol.Just recover from whatever injury they have, and let the minor league guys play on the roster

I also think the Jays need to put Josh Johnson in the bullpen and rework everything with him.

I really wish Mel Queen was still alive and with the organization.

Melky on waivers. More likely to follow. Obviously just AA seeing what team has interest. Would Melky be a guy people would want to deal in offseason or what? Being on DL multiple times this year, but is hitting around .280.

Next to C and 2B, don't really see us needing to upgrade anywhere else in starting lineup.

Is he on irrevocable waivers? Also, I say that the Jays also need an upgrade in the starting rotation...

Sad to see Delabar having arm issues. Hopefully it's not too serious.

Hoping it's phantom for a tank. Doubt it though, didn't seem right the other night. Hope he's alright.

                    Re: 2013 Toronto Blue Jays

The most positive thing about this season has been the fans as exemplified by the crazy Jays fan taking over Seattle.

Kind of reminds me of when the Leafs play in Buffalo.

It's great to see attendance is way up this year, hoping it's not a one-year wonder and attendance keeps rising next year. It's the only way we're going to get a budget to complete with the Sox and Yanks. (Since we can't seem to find the A's and Rays success with low budgets).

I just want to touch on this point but even the last couple years the Blue Jays have traveled well. There's always at least a section of a ballpark where you've got Blue Jays fans making a lot of noise. I just wish the fans would make that kind of noise at the Rogers Centre!

Nonetheless, they may not have the numbers that the Yankees or Red Sox pull in visiting ballparks but I think the Jays are one of the better traveling teams in the majors.

Bye bye Bonifacio we hardly knew ye.

I'm sure he'll add something to the Royals.

What an awful season he had with the Jays (.218-3-20). He couldn't hit and couldn't play defense. I can't believe he got 300 plate appearances.

One other frustrating thing about him is that at times even the Buck and Pat seemed like they were a little impatient with him suggesting on air that he should bunt more because he's got speed to burn and he'd be far more valuable on the basepaths.

Honestly, I've never seen a guy with such speed not use it even when he was on base.

It was a waste of space as far as i'm concerned.

This is the team that has given Juan Rivera, Corey Patterson, Jo-Jo Reyes, and Dana Eveland extended looks. I can't say I'm surprised.

I sincerely hope Maicer is next. I had semi-reasonable hopes for him, but wow has he been bad.
