The Bulldogs kept the game close in the first half as USF only led 32-29 at halftime. South Carolina State opened up the second half on an 11-0 run to take a 40-32 lead early in the second half, but San Francisco responded in a big way. The Dons went on to outscore the Bulldogs 51-24 for the remainder of the game on their way to a 19-point blowout victory.

The Dons were dominant on the glass tonight as they outrebounded the Bulldogs 44-21. In fact, there different USF Dons recorded double-doubles tonight and each recorded at least 10 rebounds.

San Francisco, CA - After struggling against lesser competition, the undefeated San Francisco Dons (9-0, 0-0 WCC) needed to step their game up against a quality Washington State Cougars (4-2, 0-0 Pac-10) team and that's exactly what they did. The Dons came out firing on all cylinders and never backed down. San Francisco led 33-16 at halftime and only extended their lead further in the second half as the Dons went on to blow out the Cougars 76-41.

The USF defense held the Cougars to only 26% shooting and 19% shooting from distance. Washington State also turned the ball over 15 times.

Contrarily, the Dons shot 43% from the floor, and while they struggled a bit from three-point range, only shooting 24% on 5-for-21 shooting, they more than made up for it at the free throw line. The Dons visited the charity stripe 40 times tonight and converted 25 of them into points.

"We were aggressive and we attacked," said Coach Frizzell. "We've had a habit of just settling into shooting jump shots at times, which is fine when our shots are falling, but when you're shooting less than 30% from downtown, you need to try something else. We got to the foul line early and often tonight and that was key.

"I was also really proud of our defense. That unit has struggled some at times this year, but they really stepped up their game tonight when they needed to. Holding anyone to 41 points is impressive, but it's even more impressive that we did it to a good team like Washington State.

Coach Frizzell was able to empty the bench in the last 10 minutes of the game, which gave everyone on the active roster a chance to play.

Owen Kole led the way for the Dons with 18 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists. Fellow big man Bernard Mendoza also had a nice game as he scored 10 points and grabbed 8 boards.

For the second straight game, both of which were blowout victories in the Dons' favor, San Francisco dominated the rebounding battle. The Dons outrebounded the Cougars 52-25 and also grabbed 15 offensive rebounds.

The Dons have a week off before traveling to Stockton, CA to take on the Pacific Tigers. The Dons will host Army on the following day before traveling to Boise, ID to take on the Broncos on December 8th.

Bron Bragg Commits to San Francisco
#4 Center in 2019 Class Solidifies Next Year's Frontcourt
        12/2/18

San Francisco, CA - Continuing a tradition of excellent big men who have prospered under Coach Frizzell's system, four-star rated center Bron Bragg committed to the San Francisco Dons on the first day of the Fall Signing Period. Bragg is ranked as the #4 center in the 2019 recruiting class and is ranked as the #80 overall player available.

Bron Bragg earned the nickname "Fort Bragg" for his tough, gritty style of play in the high school ranks. Bragg hails from Riverside, CA and will be a huge addition to the Dons next season. Bragg stands at 6'9" tall and weighs in at 216 lbs.

If Owen Kole decides to stay (which is unlikely as he is projected as the top pick in the 2019 NBA Draft), the Dons will have two dominant big men down low. If Kole does declare for the draft, as expected, then the Dons will be able to turn the keys over the Bragg and expect to keep the wheels on motion for another great season.

The Dons only had one scholarship to give out with this class, so the Dons' recruitment for the 2019 class is over. Coach Frizzell will now start to focus his efforts on the 2020 recruiting class.

They're not quite the lowest rated team, but they're pretty close. Plus, they're winless, which is certainly not a good thing.

Honestly, I don't remember. My best guess is no, though. Thad Matta and Miami's coach are pretty young and coaches usually stay until they either retire or retire once they get to power conference schools in the game.

Of course, you can probably just simulate in such a way that Miami and/or Ohio State lose a bunch of games and force them to be fired.

I'm still waiting for Bob Huggins to retire so I can move into Morgantown, hopefully.

                          Thanks for following.

I actually was using an All-American slider set until this season, but this year I've switched over to rspencer's All-Conference Sliders, though I've made some modifications such as lowering the three-point slider and upping rebounding some.

I'm still adjusting a few things, but I'll post them when I fire up the Xbox 360 later.

Initially, I was weary of switching to All-Conference as I thought it would make things too easy, but that is far from the case. With my old sliders, I could drive into the lane and get uncontested layups too easily, but with the sliders I'm using now, it's not so easy and I actually have to run plays and such to get good shots.

Also a random question, but my dream jobs are Ohio State and Miami, do you remember seeing either opening up at all so far in your dynasty?
I did in my first go around before the file got corrupted. I went 2 years at VMI, then I think either 4,5 or 6 years at Boise State before being offered the job coaching the Buckeyes. I was into year 2 with Ohio State before the file got corrupted.
