#4 San Francisco (10-0) vs. Pacific (2-5)
Alex G. Spanos Center
Stockton, CA
December 5th, 2018
The #5 San Francisco Dons (10-0) defeated the Pacific Tigers (2-5) this evening 72-65. Led by Jaime Barton, who came off the bench to pour in 16 points, 3 assists, and 3 steals for the Dons, the Dons jumped out to an 18-point lead in the first half and it appeared that the Dons were going to win this one in blowout fashion. However, that was not the case.
The Tigers got on a big run towards the end of the first half to cut the lead to 11 points at halftime. Early in the second half, the lead was cut even more. In the end, the Dons managed to escape with a seven point road victory, but it wasn't exactly an impressive performance for the supposed #5 team in the nation to be struggling against teams with 2-5 records.
"It was certainly a struggle," stated Coach Frizzell. "We did not value the basketball out there tonight. We turned the ball over 22 times, which is 22 times to many. Any time you turn the ball over, you're throwing away a possession without even getting a shot at the basket."
The Dons have had many turnover issues this season, but this game tops them all. Fortunately for USF, the Pacific Tigers also turned the ball over 22 times, so it all evened out in the end.

Re: Coaching Legacy of James Frizzell (CH 2K8)
I actually was using an All-American slider set until this season, but this year I've switched over to rspencer's All-Conference Sliders, though I've made some modifications such as lowering the three-point slider and upping rebounding some.
I'm still adjusting a few things, but I'll post them when I fire up the Xbox 360 later.
Initially, I was weary of switching to All-Conference as I thought it would make things too easy, but that is far from the case. With my old sliders, I could drive into the lane and get uncontested layups too easily, but with the sliders I'm using now, it's not so easy and I actually have to run plays and such to get good shots.PS4 Username: grismosw7Comment

BTW, I must have messed up my coding on my previous game posting as I didn't post the Pacific player statistics. Ah well, I'll make sure to get it fixed for my next game posting.Comment

Just got to this web site: http://dynasties.operationsports.com/
And specifically here: http://dynasties.operationsports.com...aabb/index.php
Then you either do partial or full box score: http://dynasties.operationsports.com...l_boxscore.php
It's really easy to fill out (although it takes a bit of time, so my written reports themselves may not be as long in order to minimize the time spent doing these).Comment

Army (2-6) vs. #4 San Francisco (11-0)
War Memorial Gymnasium
San Francisco, CA
December 6th, 2018
The #5 San Francisco Dons (11-0) won their 11th game in 11 tries this evening as they defeated the United States Military Academy's Black Nights 94-82. Army (2-6) only trailed 39-33 at the halftime break, but San Francisco was able to extend the lead a bit in the second half, allowing Coach Frizzell to empty the bench i nthe closing minutes.
Matt Owen had an amazing game tonight as the junior point guard came up only two steals shy of a tripe-double. Owen totaled 19 points, 10 assists, and a career-high 8 steals tonight as he had one of the best all-around games o his career. Owen Kole added 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists while Oliver Hudson and Bernard Mendoza chipped in 12 points apiece.
"Matt [Owen] really had a nice game tonight," explained Coach Frizzell. "He was at his best in all facets of the game. I've never had one of my players collect that many steals in a single game, so his 8 steals was a bit of a surprise to me."
The Dons will travel to Boise, ID to take on the Broncos of Boise State on Saturday.

#4 San Francisco (12-0) vs. Boise State (4-4)
Taco Bell Arena
Boise, ID
December 8th, 2018
The #4 San Francisco Dons (12-0) played their third game in four days this afternoon as they defeated the Boise State Broncos (4-4) 78-71 in a hard-fought contest that came down the closing minutes. The Dons, perhaps a bit fatigued from playing their third game in four days, turned the ball over 19 times, which ultimately kept the Broncos in the ball game.
"Turnovers are huge," commented Coach Frizzell. "Outside of the turnovers, we played pretty well, but because we flushed 19 possessions down the drain due to turnovers, we found ourselves battling this game out until the end.
"Frankly, I don't see how the media sees us as the #4 team in the nation. We may be 12-0, but our schedule has not exactly been murderer's row, either. We've played way too sloppy to be the #4 team in the nation."
Owen Kole struggled mightily in this one. Marred by foul trouble and perhaps fatigue, Kole only managed to record 20 minutes of playing time tonight. He managed to total 5 points and 9 rebounds, but he only shot 2 of 6 from the field and 1 of 2 from the free throw line.
Oliver Hudson led the Dons with 14 points and 4 rebounds. Matt Owen added 14 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 steals. Bernard Mendoza chipped n 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists while Jaime Barton came off thge bench to score 11 points.

#4 San Francisco (12-0) vs. Wyoming (6-6)
Arena Auditorium
Laramie, WY
December 15th, 2018
The San Francisco Dons took the floor looking to wipe the floor with the Wyoming Cowboys, but that was far from the case. The Dons held a one-point margin at the halftime break. Fortunately, the Dons opened up the second half on a nice run to extend their lead into double-digits. From there, the Dons cruised to a six-point victory.
Owen Kole was sidelined for the majority of the game with foul trouble, although he still recorded 11 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists in 14 minutes of play, so someone else had to step up. That someone was Oliver Hudson, who led the Dons in scoring with 13 points. In addition, he grabbed 6 boards. Lawrence Doumbouya had a career night as he scored a career-high 16 points.
Jason Redick continued to try to shoot out of his shooting slump, but to no avail, as he only hit 1 of 6 shots from behind the arc. The whole team struggled from that area, however, as the Dons combined to go 5-for-25 from deep.
The Dons have two days off before running into Pac-10 powers California and UCLA next week.

vs.
#4 San Francisco (13-1) vs. California (6-4)
Haas Pavilion
Berkeley, CA
December 18th, 2018
The San Francisco Dons ran into a buzzsaw tonight on the road against the California Golden Bears. The Dons entered the game undefeated and ranked fourth in the country, but would leave with their morale degraded and their reputation shattered.
The Dons played an all-around pathetic game. San Francisco shot 3-for-25 (12%) from three-point range and just 19-for-52 (37%) overall. In addition, the Dons committed 23 fouls, which resulted in 35 free throw attempts for the Golden Bears. California sank 31 of these attempts from the charity stripe and it ultimately cost the Dons the game.
"I'd gone on record about how we were most certainly not a top five caliber team earlier this season and tonight proved me right," said Coach Frizzell. "Don't get me wrong; we're a good team and a much better one than we showed out there on the floor tonight, but we aren't where we need to be if we wish to compete for the National Championship."
The Dons will have a chance to attempt to redeem themselves on Friday evening against another Pac-10 opponent on the road, the UCLA Bruins.
