    Yep it was pretty touching.

If I'm Jordan Dustin Johnson is the one I'm looking over my shoulder at at this point. Three eagles in a round is incredibly impressive.

      Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

Just paid off my membership fees and my first year dues to ClubLinks. I'm really excited about this, plus I get to play so many courses for free being a member. Also, on the 24th I'm going to the TaylorMade tech lab to get fitted for my new clubs. From everything I've heard, it will be a fun experience.

I'm hoping to get in over 100 rounds by November if my back holds up.
I am the lesson after the fall.

The next 2 nights at work are going to be brutal. No way I'm missing the Masters so I'll sleep until 2'ish the up until going to work at 7.

Tiger and Rory paired together tomorrow.

What a fantastic Sunday it's going to be.

Still think its Jordan's jacket to lose. I think he learned a hell of a lot on Sunday last year from the whooping Bubba put on him. I think he attacks the course this year where it is set up to be attacked and the rest he goes fairway, middle of the green, two putt. Re-watching I think the field is rather lucky that his number is -16 not -20 or -21. He was that close today IMO.

I really can't wait for tomorrow, Sunday at Augusta is really a special event. I was joking with my friend about this earlier this week. I've picked Spieth to win the last 5 majors and this year I said I want Jordan and Dustin Johnson and he can have the field.....Looking forward to tomorrow.

I agree and Jordan has matured immensely just in the last year. He did an interview before the round today which to me told me he is going to win when he said (paraphrasing) "you have to know when to sit back."

He's in a position where he can play defense when every one else has to be on a full court press. It's abolutely his to lose.

On another note and since you brought him up, did anyone else notice the complete snubbing of coverage of DJ on the course today by CBS?

Even when he was one of the last 6 on the course and was in fifth they would not show him at all.

I get what he did but he seems to be over it and they never hesitated to show Tiger when he came back. I was just completely floored by their obvious attempts to keep him off the TV.

In the last 4 holes they showed him twice and the second time was simply to see if he would make a put that would pair Tiger and Rory together.

Same thing with ESPN on Friday. DJ was one of the last 6 groups on the course and was putting together a decent round and he was no where to be found. I mean he eagled 3 of the par 5s and you would've never known. What are they gonna do when he is in contention at the US Open or British if he is in a final pairing.

Same for Sergio today. Given the drama with him and Tiger I find it baffling that he was no where to be seen for much of the day.

                      Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

Well if Spieth shoots a 76, Justin Rose shoots 72, Phil shoots 71 and Tiger and Rory both shoot 66's, we could see all of them in a Masters playoff.

Very unlikely to happen but imagine if it did?!

                      ----

On a more serious note it's been awesome to see Tiger playing like we all know he can. That entire sequence of events at 13 where he duck hooked his tee shot into the left trees, hooking it out onto the fairway, nailing his 3rd shot to within 20 feet and knocking the birdie putt was the Tiger we've come to know for years. And that fist pump after he drained that putt, I don't think I've seen a fist pump like that in many years.

                        Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

I played for the first time this season yesterday (sooo much rain and snow in early season) Needless to say I shot rather poorly (103 -- 58 out 45 in) but I will take that first trip out of the year. First time playing with my new Ping Irons. They are great to hit. I definitely played better on the back 9 than I did the front. Problem for me was getting speed of putts. I must've 3 putted 8 greens.

Going out next weekend to play. I think we're going to do 36 holes next Saturday.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

                          Huge congrats to Spieth.

It's always fun to see a close Masters but to be able to say we saw the greatest round in the Masters is just absolutely incredible.

I went down the year Tiger returned from his hiatus and was able to follow him around on Wednesday and it was incredible.

This tournament is just so much fun to watch.

I'm glad Spieth won, though I was a bit disappointed in how Augusta National played this year. The course didn't instill that fear in the players like it usually does.

Now that the Masters is over the count down to the U.S Open is on. I have tickets for the 3 practice rounds and the Thursday and Friday rounds. Cannot wait!

Agreed, the course conditions made it pretty melodramatic.

Really wasn't much of a doubt he was going to be able to hold onto the lead.
