Got a new favorite Protein flavor, just got my Muscle Pharm Combat: Cookies 'N Cream and it's just simply amazing... so far I've had S'Mores, Banana Cream, and Orange Creamsicle. While they were all good, CnC simply beats them taste wise. I still have yet to try Triple Berry, and Chocolate Peanut-Butter, but I might not even want to order them with how much I'm in love with the taste of Cookies 'N Cream.

Had a pretty short, but effective Trap workout today, and did some extra Bicep work to round it off. I'm at the point where I'm in a pretty good routine and able to maintain it just have to keep watching my diet.

Having a hard time getting into a set routine when I get to the gym. I try to follow my old football routine of chest/triceps/shoulders and then legs/biceps/traps the next day with wednesday being off then repeat thursday/friday.

Just need to find some more exercises to do consistently, especially for my shoulders and then gotta throw in some back workouts.

Chocolate Peanut-Butter doesn't mix well, don't waste your money.

Had my blood work done over the weekend and saw my Doctor yesterday. He came in smiling and gave me a high five and a pound. He was really happy how everything from weight, blood sugar, cholesterol and blood pressure have gone down and are at healthy levels. He still wants me on some meds but has cut some of the dosage down. Another 6 months if they are better and my weight is down he's going to cut off majority of them.

I still have 50 to 70 pounds to go but coming from 310 pounds to 250 from last year is a big for me. I had a lot of ups and downs but in the last 3 months I've been really focused with working out and my diet.

I just got down with a 12 week lifting program and now for the next 6 weeks i'm going to go lighter weights/higher reps and i'm also going to slow down my cardio so that I can get in fat burning mode rather than high intensity cardio.

I just got a heart rate monitor and started longer period today at 70 minutes going at 130 bpm rather than 35 minutes of high intensity where I averaged 160 yo 175 bpm.

It was easy but I had the energy to go longer and burned more calories overall.

Went in for my follow up, this is the healthiest i've felt in awhile only slight post nasal drip problems but that's because I think of a slightly deviated spot in my nose from a hairline fracture from playing football last summer. Just going to take my prilosec for the rest of the month then lay off it and see if I feel fine.

The hard work I put in at the beginning of the summer diet wise and working out kind of quickly deteriorated, went from 170 to 160 and now up to 175(Steroids I was prescribed didn't help for periods of time). Trying to just get by on eating healthy again and working out 4 times a week, then at FSU i'll make sure to avoid buying certain foods to avoid some temptations as that's mainly the problem for me. I feel the need to eat some of this unhealthy stuff because it's available in my parents house right now, that and it tastes good

                  Weighed myself this morning...

It's awesome to think that in January of this year, I tipped the scales at 272.4 pounds...

Since then, I've lost a total of 34.4 pounds. Currently sitting at 238. It's been five or six years since I've been this lean.

Goal weight of 225/230 is in my cross hairs...

                      Re: 2012 FITNESS CHALLENGE

I have successfully lost 20 pounds since the beginning of 2012 on Paleo diet. My wife has lost an easy 10 pounds. Funny thing is I was very critical of the diet when one of our OS members posted on it months/years back. WOW it has been amazing.

I have always been a bigger guy to begin with: think someone built like a fat fullback. Losing fat has always been a problem but putting on size has always been easy. I played high school and college sports, and have always been active and "healthy". My wife - who had battled weight problems all her life - started us on the diet and has also lost 10 pounds. It wasn't until this diet that it finally all clicked: health & wellness has to do more with consumption than production.

I will say I have never worked LESS in my life at the gym. Before I would go on 5+ mile runs, an hour+ of high intensity workouts that left me exhausted, count & obsess over carb, fat, calories, etc. Now, I workout half an hour, 3-4 times a week without killing myself. It has been great.

Today I'm going to try and start a five day green smoothie fast. I blended up some kale, baby spinach, mixed frozen fruits, banana and pineapple and brought it to work. I've found that the smoothies can really keep me full. I'm also doing Intermittent Fasting, so I won't drink it till about 3:00, after my workout. Interested to see how it works out.

I've been doing Insanity's Fast & Furious 20 minute workout on days I don't lift weights. Some days I do better than others, but it definitely kicks your ***.

If your fasting then you might want to juice it rather than blend it. The reason for juice is so your body is not digesting food and giving your body a break but still getting the nutrients. By blending it your including the fiber and will be digesting .

This may be the wrong thread, but I know you guys can help.

I've lost about 23 pounds in a little less than 2 months. All I did was cut soda out and portion control. I still eat my favorite fast foods from time to time, just no more 10 piece, large fry, large soda and 2 apple pies. I would over eat like crazy.

Once I get to my goal weight, I want to continue eating better, but how do stop the weight from falling off?

When I reach my goal weight I want to put on 10 pounds or so of muscle.
