My 4th week back in the gym after a 2 year layoff and my muscle memory is starting to kick in. Did chest and got 225 lbs up 6 times on the flat bench, got a ways to go to get back to where I was though. Took a few pics of my gym/garage to share.

My dad has always been a fitness guy. I can't remember a time when he didn't have an entire level of his house dedicated to exercise equipment. I know he has weights, a treadmill, some kinda cord resistance thing, a back machine, and various other tidbits. I wish I had inherited his fitness dedication, but then again he's 56 and still runs marathons lol, I can't see myself doing that at any age. I'd like to have my own fitness stuff in the future as well. However I still have to graduate, find a job, get a place to live, car, gf, boat, etc then fitnesslol

I have a mini gym with weights and elliptical but would rather go to the gym. I get way more motivated and pumped at the gym. Number 1 reason is the hot chicks and that they put the cycling machines behind the "stare" climbers.Comment

I have a weight bench in my second bedroom and enough space to do Insanity exercises in my living room. That's about all the room I need right now. I would love to have an elliptical machine and enough room to actually bench with a full bar, but I can't complain much.

I was in the gym by myself, until this girl showed up last night.
I was thinking, "Yeah, she looks good.. so she's probably going to hit the tredmill or do cardio and go home". I was completely wrong. She got on the tredmill for a few mins and then came over to the weights and stuff with me.
Turns out, we went to school together and I didn't even know it.. cool chick.
I just thought it was rare that a girl actually come in and do exercise other than cardio or the machines that work legs and ***.Comment

Saw one guy go into a squat, good form on the way down; controlled the weight, got pretty deep into the squat (past parallel), knees weren't extending past his feet, so it looked solid. On the way up though, he had all of the weight on his toes. As in, his heels weren't even on the ground. Kind of defeats the purpose of that movement eh?Comment

I use to have perfect form on squats, but with my knees I can't go as low as I used to and now something is up with my form that causes my lower back to hurt so I just stopped doing them until I can get my friend to look at me and fix it. Me personally if someone is doing something like squats wrong. I try an correct them bc squats can seriously hurt you if done wrong. Whether they take my advice or not is another story.Comment
