I know it's a little more dairy, but is the sugar just killing anything and everything I worked on earlier in the day? Or is some sugar good for you for energy?
    Sorry, thought I'd re-ask this.

What's important to know is that I'm not trying to lose weight. I'd like to gain weight, but mostly in muscle if possible. My friend just linked me to Tom Hardy's diet plan(s) for his roles in Warrior and The Dark Knight Rises, and for Bane he ate a lot of pizza and ice cream (of course, with uber rigorous workouts). I know he was a bit fat in some ways, like his neck and his stomach, but I'm just going on an overall question if ice cream a couple of times a week is destroying anything I had going for me.

You'll gain weight eating ice-cream and I wouldn't really consider them useful calories, either. Hardy looked big as Bane, but he wasn't exactly cut or very toned if memory serves me right.

Some sugar and some dairy is obviously needed in your diet, but ice-cream is probably not the most nutritious route to go on.

I mean I think if you are working hard, and overall have a balanced diet treating yourself to some Ice Cream once or twice a week won't ruin anything for you, as long as you limit it to just that.

For those who can't make it the gym often, try this workout. I just did it once through and I fell on my face and I'm dead tired. I'm going to try this again in a week and see if I can do it twice through like he recommends. Note* you'll need a resistance band or some type of light dumbell

I haven't really gotten to the gym since i've been back on campus, I walk so much to class that I just have no desire once i'm done. Need to find a consistent diet as right now i'm just trying to eat less of the junk I was before and eating stuff like chicken, breakfast, more fruit, etc.

They have a small gym here at my apartment with some treadmills, dumbbells, etc. Need to just hit that up as soon as I get home instead of relaxing or go to the gym on campus after class

I'll be honest, I have only worked out a few times in recent weeks.

I have lost a lot of my desire, because I'm working more hours and it's the time of year where there's always a good game on or RAW and some good TV shows. I know it's a bad excuse, but that's mine..

I've been the same way with my motivation, Chase. I've been doing weights since high-school and while I've changed my routines/exercises lately I've just been forcing myself to do it when I would much rather just not.

Fortunately, this is the last week of lifting for me for the next couple of months. I'm going to do Insanity when I get back from the beach. I'm kind of hesitant, but I know my worries are most likely not probable considering the feedback on the Insanity program.

                    Today's WOD for 9/11: "343"

Pick any number of exercises you want, and how ever many reps of each exercise you like, just make it total 343 reps (in honor of the 343 firefighters that died during the 9/11 attacks). Here's what we did at our gym:

                    49 deadlifts
                    49 wall ball shots
                    49 kettle bell swings
                    25 burpees
                    49 high pulls
                    49 box jumps
                    49 pushups
                    24 overhead weighted walking lunges

If you're up for it, post what you did

Exactly the same with me. I teach from 8:00 - 3:30, coach softball till 5:30, then have class from 6:30 - 9:30 Monday thru Thursday. On the next two Saturdays (as well as last Saturday), I have teaching orientations and seminars from 9:00 - 5:00, and on Sundays there is football and that's when we play our softball games (doubleheaders).

I do what I can, but honestly it's tough to be motivated if I miss two days straight because of my schedule.

Try to do something simple like do a 100 pushups or try do stuff in that vid a posted earlier.

Before I went to bed I just out nowhere did a 100 pushups and that only took 10 min or so. You can do them anywhere. As long as you do something.

That's pretty much what I do. In fact, I might have even posted the video.

I just hope it's enough... with wrist pain, it's a little difficult sometimes.
