Ya man. Everything just feels right about the gameplay. I'm having so much fun. I can't remember the last time I was still playing Madden in April. Hell it's almost May and I'm still going strong.

Finally ratings just matter. I've been waiting so long for this.

Re: JoshC1977's M17 Sliders

hahaha, last night my wife walked by and said "how come I never see you playing that d@mn baseball game you just had to have?"

I really can't get enough of this.

Im totally immersed in two different CFM's (Vikes and Browns).

Man.....sure can't hide a crappy offensive lineman anymore lol. They find him.

Im very encouraged for '18, as (hopefully) we can start right here.

Funny thing is, the Draft every year is what signals the end of Madden for me. For as long as I can remember. Idk exactly why, but I think its my interest in all the new players coming in, and then my CFM no longer reflecting whats going on kinda dampens my interest in it. Not this year. Screw the draft (easier said because the Vikes sent their 1st rounder to Philly for captain check down so....meh)

I'm the same way! I'm done with Madden by now. But not this year.

Player ratings matter like never before. I love my stars. I actually hate some stars on other teams.

Yep I actually havent bought the baseball game, I thought I'd be getting on the day of release. Still going strong in CFM. I've done several seasons with Dallas. I'm curious to try other teams out now.

Yep, I'm playing total default now. The only change is 10 inj. 3 games now, it definitely makes a difference.

I know, I just can't stop playing this. Holding off on my purchase of The Show.

Do you guys find that you need to handicap yourselves as far as cfm goes from season to season to keep the cpu competitive?

I'm not the best person to answer this...I never seem to get very far. But I have heard that the CPU actually gets more competitive as the CFM rolls on.

But I have a couple of thoughts.

1. I autosim all player training.
2. I autoprogress all of my players.
3. I don't go overboard on hoarding draft picks.

To me, it is more about keeping things on a level playing field as the CPU and less about 'handicapping' myself. As far as 1 and 2 go, I feel it is a bit more sim. If I were a real life coach, I can certainly identify which players to focus on in practice, but I can't necessarily control how a player develops.

I think that doing all the drills and spending xp points differently than the CPU can begin to build in inherent advantages that the CPU doesn't have.

This is very much a personal thing...but given that the sliders reflect ratings well....its a good way of injecting some longevity into a franchise.
