Wow, that's a lot of improvements.

I'm not a user catch guy, so have they mentioned anything about the WR animations being HUM controlled only or will my A.I. WR's go after the ball this year?

Like most of the new animations I saw.

Running animations are still bad, but I think most have accepted that they won't change this gen.

My fav moment was the Bama corner running stride for stride and looking for the ball. That was awesome.

Hopefully it's not cosmetic and instead it's tied to ratings. For example, badly rated corners won't look for the ball and make a play even if they are in position or running stride for stride.

On second look, my excitement is a little tempered. I just noticed that the receiver still does that over the shoulder animation even though the situation didn't call for it.

Can't wait! I like the read and react where the defender turns their head, the 3 and 5 dropback for the QB, and the receiver route awareness where they may not be looking for the ball!

Color me not impressed thus far. Are they really promoting a 3,5, and 7 step drop as a new gameplay enhancement 8 years into next gen??? Wow. That's all I can say. I'll keep looking for more but for now, nothing even looks that different from all the other "sizzle" trailers.

I want to say that I am very impressed in the worst way, and I am - but every year they always get me all jacked up and always seem to just barely miss when the game releases.

They really don't do as bad of a job as everyone implies, but what hurts is how close this game could be to great.

I know we all say this every year, but could this be the one?

Maybe. Just maybe.

But until they actually can prove the O-line play has been fixed my hope will remain on standby.

Not too impressed either. These small changes will def not convince me, I was expecting a bit more. Will have to wait for some reviews to see how the AI plays

After watching the trailer again, the ball still looks too big. Also, the same with some of the players.

Some of those boys need to be leaned out.

I'm hoping that the "WR is looking for the ball" bit is tied into ratings. As a higher rated WR will look for the ball quicker, or a higher rated QB can make his reads faster.

Looking forward to an HD version (hopefully) soon

I am so happy that this is called the "sizzle" trailer, because both Madden and NCAA on this gen can be 100% summed up by saying "All sizzle and no steak".

"OMG!!! MIZZOU IN OLD UNIS!!!11!!!!!1 GAMEBREAKER! NOT BUYING!"*

Now that that's out of the way, I'm really looking forward to this game. I was going to buy it before today's webcast, but now it's even more concrete. The passing game will finally be fun. Defense appears to work right. On top of the sights and sounds from a few weeks ago, absolutely.

Will those of us who don't user catch get to see the AI perform these catches in suitable situations?

That coverage at the 1:10 mark looks nice. I like how they both go up for it.

I hope you can throw it to a receiver whenever you want it just sails by them or they drop it. QB's throw to WR's when they are about to get sacked just to get rid of the ball I dont wanna be hitting X to throw the ball but get sacked cause the icon wasnt up and my WR wasnt looking.

I believe they said you can throw it whenever.

For those who think not much has changed, I saw the live gameplay video, and there is so much to be excited about. If your a sim style player it is going to be a huge jump in the right direction. Even if they don't do much with Dynasty mode I am still really excited about the changes.

Yes. It will still be the same with the CPU controling recievers.

Looks like once again NCAA will be the better football game this year (just like last year. and the year before that)

This goes back to a statement I made before. EA seems to get it now which is a far cry from 3-4 years ago when they were hell bent on selling us fluff. I'm really impressed with many of the things they choose to address this year. However with EA over the last couple of years it's been execution that's holding them back. They tried to fix the option it was still broken and the battle in the trenches was touched, but is still a shell of what it should be. The WR/DB interaction is still no where near the level it should be at. So I'm reserving my judgement until I see some alpha videos.
