It's strange... I had just assumed the CPU AI would be able to handle such a simple problem. Guess not.
    This is a logic bug.
    I thought they caught this.
    Obviously not.

Re: MLB 11 The Show "Franchise/Season" Progress Thread

i just started a Nats franchise just so I can take a break from my cardinals one. The first thing I did was trade for Prince Fielder since he always becomes a free agent in my franchises anyways. As of now my roster is
SS Desmond (wanting to move him but I do not know who I want yet)
      3B Zimmerman
      1B Fielder
      LF Werth
      RF Harper
      CF Ankiel
      C Pudge/Floress
      2B Espinosa

      Pitching
      Strasburg
      Hernandez (trying to trade)
      Sheets (Free Agent)
      Lannan
      Zimmerman

Still wanting to trade Marquis for either a SP or RP.
      Current careers:
Enough is Enough | Buying Tottenham (FC 25)

Laroche, storen and a A prospect..don't really know why the CPU took it but I figured he was going to be a FA anyways so might as well do it

First game against the Braves... Hudson dominated for them. The only break I caught with him is when I decided to power swing on a first pitch change with LaRoche....HR. Otherwise I lost 9-1

So I started my final season.(so I won't restart). I couldn't do it with my beloved Indians so I had to go with the Angels. I started off bad agisnt KC (idk how srry KC fans.) lost 1st gm 3-1 lost 2nd 3-2 cuz walden (closer) hung a breaking ball nd Alex Gordon hit a 2 run walk off. :/ walden would redeem himself in nxt 2 games saving both for me. but the series with TB just went wild for me. We won 1st gm 11-3. Won 2nd 10-0 idk wy but KC was tougher. I'm (4-2) now but I need help getting back into using the batting anolog. It's just hard. Haha. But any help On how to do this would be appreciated cuz I'm still playing on all star even with classic control for batting.

I tried to go with the Mets from Spring Training this year but then we started making the right decisions and cut Luis Castillo and Oliver Perez but I still had them on my roster...I'm going to give them another go before MLB 12 comes out and see what happens.
Using the Mets is always fun and frustrating, I always try to rebuild the farm while adding players i like (speed, youth potential). Im trying to build around Wright/Reyes/Ike/Pagan and whatever parts play well.

I still have holes in the rotation, 2nd base, inconsistent bullpen (should be fun when i ship out K-Rod) and limited depth in minors.

speaking of which, after my last game vs Tigers. And that was a frustrating loss, I could not buy a hit. Jacob Turner 1 hit and I lost 5-1. In AAA Mejia went down for 3-4 weeks and Tyler Flowers (thoughts of platooning him and Thole) went down for 1-2 months. Awesome.

Now i welcome the Yankees to CitiField, I usually alternate playing and simming. I will play all of these

I think that's why I'm having fun with Seattle; I'm using a team that I don't have an emotional investment in. With the Mets (and to a slightly lesser extent, the Rockies), I have a harder time making moves because there are players I like that might not necessarily fit long-term plans for the franchise.

Maybe simming more games instead of trying to play every single game will help; I sim 3 of every 5 games with Seattle and may do the same with the Mets.

In the midst of a home 4 game series with the Yankees, lost the first two games 5-3 & 12-5. Game 3 saw Jake Peavy take the mound and pitch 8 strong innings powering the Sox to a 4-2 win. Matt Thornton made it interesting, loaded the bases, before getting Augie Ojeda to ground out into a game ending double play.

55-56 and 2.5 GB of Detroit, got Mark Buerhle on the bump next against Phil Hughes.

P.S. I know this game has some flaws, but this is the most accurate representation of a sports video game ive ever seen. I actually felt like I was playing the Yankees.
