I'm at the end of April with the Yankees need to play game 3 of the Orioles series in Baltimore...of course I went without playing the game for a month due to a messed up game disc which was a major setback for me as I wasn't able to immediately run out and get a new copy of the game... at the time I was moving at a pretty decent pace and if I had to venture a guess I'd probably be a little past the all star break right now... long story short I'm determined to get a few seasons out of this years game... atleast enough to get a draft class to the majors and see some HOF inductions

I'm only 11 games in (5-6) after a restart. I'm still determined to finish a season playing every game.

The CPU has completed some crazy trades in my franchise, a couple them have made my battle in the NL East a bit tougher. (I am the Mets)

Boston sent Beckett to the Dodgers for a prospects package centered around Dee Gordon

The Yankees traded Burnett to the Braves for a bundle of prospects.

Pineda was sent to the Nats (Strasburg and Pineda? thanks CPU, thanks alot), they apparently wanted AJ Cole really bad.

I completed a major trade as well, shipping out Carlos Beltran to the White Sox for Humber (i get him back every year lol), Tyler Flowers and Dayan Vicideo.

Project: rebuild the Mets continues on! (for some reason the D-Backs refuse to give me Micah Owings. jerks!)

40-40 with a few days left in June. Injuries have killed this squad. Pena, Barney, Patterson all out. This squad is actually looking like its real counterpart, with Montanez, LeMahieu and Campana having to be called up.(That aint a good thing)

Humber and Gomez are the reasons I played with the Twins after the Santana trade... I always start off using the Mets but for some reason the Yankees always end up who I have the most fun with once I start their franchise right after my Mets... I tried to go with the Mets from Spring Training this year but then we started making the right decisions and cut Luis Castillo and Oliver Perez but I still had them on my roster...I'm going to give them another go before MLB 12 comes out and see what happens.

What rosters do you guys use to get all the prospects in the game? I know it is one of the OSFM rosters but which one? there are so many. i downloaded the opening day one form Knight and i was wondering if that is the best one.

I have a question for my fellow franchisers.

Do you guys ever see the CPU accidentally using relief pitchers with very low stamina as starters?

Philly just traded Oswalt and Kendrick to the Yanks for Montero and Robertson. Stupid trade aside, I went to check on who was taking Oswalt's spot in the rotation, and the CPU had replaced him with Madson...

I've actually seen this twice before in my franchise, but I didn't think much of it at the time. The Brewers tried to use Takashi Saito for a start, and I think the Angels tried it against me too. And by the time I caught the mistake from the Angels, the guy already had 6 or 7 starts under his belt with an ERA of like 9.

Aside from fixing it myself, is there anyway to stop the CPU from doing this?

You should keep control if you have Rotation setting on Manual. I've seen it happen but only when there weren't enough starters to put in rotation. A good idea is to keep a long reliever on the roster in case trades/injuries leave you without enough starters on the MLB roster.

This kept happening to me in MLB 10. I was simming through a season then noticed that LaTroy Hawkins was starting. I moved him out of the rotation then simmed a few more weeks and noticed he was back in the starting rotation again.

Yeah, I might go back to manual. Though every time this has happened, there was indeed a long reliever with decent stamina in the bullpen already. Yet the CPU still opted to go with other relievers, that don't have anywhere near the stamina needed to start.

It's strange... I had just assumed the CPU AI would be able to handle such a simple problem. Guess not.
