Yikes!
With that average, you're lucky to have finished the month even close to .500.
Great ERA man! Who's your starting 5? The same as the real Cubbies?Comment

Dempster and Garza didnt do all that bad, but when you have an opportunity to get Kershaw and other top prospects, you do it.Comment

UGH. I went 0-10 before finally beating the Brewers...only to get swept the next 2 series. I sim most of the games...I play the first game of each series...I'm on Veteran hitting and All-Star pitching. I have so much trouble hitting. It's not helping that Werth is being Werth-less.Kemp for NL MVP

Re: MLB 11 The Show "Franchise/Season" Progress Thread
My never ending failure to reach .500 continues after dropping 3 of 4 at Colorado Im now sitting at 32-36 with the Dodgers. I absolutely hate playing Colorado, the ball constantly gets sucked in by the infielders and they seem to always take ridiculous pitches and launch them for extra base hits. Ive grown so frustrated with playing them Im about ready to just sim the games whenever I play them. Last game was a perfect example, Kuroda makes one mistake that somehow ends up in a HR by Seth Smith while Im hitting the ball hard and the infielders are making diving plays right and left leading to a 1-0 loss and thats the norm when playing them.Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show "Franchise/Season" Progress Thread
I decided to start a Nationals franchise, and my first game was rough.
Got beat 10-2. Surprisingly I was winning 2-1 through 5 innings. In the top of the 5th however I drew a leadoff walk with Adam LaRoche, then did a hit and run with Danny Espinosa, and executed perfectly. LaRoche being the slow **** that he is got thrown out at third though.
Tim Hudson then proceeded to pick off Dany Espinosa, and then struck out Pudge. Needless to say it was HUGE buzzkill. Strasburg was dominating though with 10 K's through 5. However a leadoff walk doomed me. I proceeded to bring in Todd Coffey who was awful and wound up giving up a grandslam to Freddy Freeman.
The rest of the game was just ugly and finished with a 10-2 score unfortunately.Student at the University of Kentucky...GO BIG BLUE

Re: MLB 11 The Show "Franchise/Season" Progress Thread
Just had three great games with the Mets. Won the first 6-5 in 11 innings, lost the second 5-3 in 11 innings and won the rubber match 3-2 on a Heyward pinch-hit homer in the 10th.
At 8-8, I'm tied with the Mets for first in the East. Kinda strange, nearly every team in the league is hovering around .500 so far.Comment

It's around the trade deadline in my Yankee franchise and I decided to beef up my rotation by picking up Wandy Rodriguez. The first game I start him against the Orioles and I throw a f#$%in no-hitter with him. On legend. I can't believe it.Note to self: BUY MADDEN 12*

Swept by the Braves, drop to 2-5. Lost 1-0 in the series finale, Hanson was dealing and the bats went silent.Brewers | Golden Eagles | Packers | Bucks | Badgers | Fulham FC

After starting a Dbacks franchise, I was 1-2 heading into the Chicago series. Great game. I'm down 3-2 with 2 outs in the 9th, facing Marmol, Chris Young hits an opposite field line drive over the wall in right. Enticing game into 11th, I lost off a Starlin Castro lead-off triple + Carlos Pena single. Great game though.Kemp for NL MVP
