I wish I had the luxury of cutting players in my new Winston-Salem State legacy with the new rosters. They have eight players on the team, with no SG and one walk-on SF. The highest rated guy is 59.

But yeah, it would be hard for me to cut a guy unless he's way below everyone else and doesn't excel at something(like I would keep a guy if he had a high rating in his defense, but was still a 53 overall compared to everyone else on the team being 75+.)

I mean I cut guys every year, but I feel guilty. Virtual players and all it breaks my heart. it doesn't even matter what sports game lol. I just play it in my head.. having to break it to a walk on that there's no real reason to keep them on the team.

(P.S. oddly enough, one of my back up centers is a walk on lol. diamond in the rough)

Are you still using the same sliders that are on the first page? I haven't played much due to the lack of turnovers but see you are getting quite a few.

Yeah, when I started this legacy with Princeton, I had nine players on my roster. Brutal!

Actually, no. I'm now using rspencer's sliders again with a no-switch rule on defense. I don't remember what made me switch (or even when I did it), but it might have been lack of turnovers. Of course, now, if anything, I may be getting too many turnovers.

No. 3 West Virginia (1-0) got its season off on the right track as the Mountaineers had no problem defeating the visiting Tennessee State Tigers 118-68. The Mountaineers led from start to finish as the Tigers ultimately posed no threat to the more talented WVU squad.

Tre Welch led WVU with 14 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and a pair of blocks. Jud Helms added 14 points and seven rebounds while Leandro Summers and Bobby Dux were the leading scorers, combining to shoot seven-for-nine from three-point range and scoring 14 points apiece. Anderson Black paced the offense with 11 points, five rebounds, five assists, and three steals while freshman Deno Woodards came off the bench to add 11 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Freshman Nile Stevenson also had a fantastic game as he scored 15 points and grabbed five boards.

Tennessee State was led by point guard Elliot Logle, who scored 25 points to lead the Tigers. Larry Defares added 13 points and nine rebounds while Aly Reid totaled 10 points.

The Mountaineers were lights-out shooting the basketball in this one as they shot 57% from the floor and 57% from three-point range.

WVU will face No. 16 Fairfield on November 10th in the first round of the NIT Season Tip-Off.

No. 3 West Virginia (2-0) throttled No. 16 Fairfield (1-1) in the second half this evening as the Mountaineers turned a slim five-point halftime lead into a commanding 19-point victory, as the Mountaineers defeated the Stags 78-59.

Tre Welch led the Mountaineers with 19 points, four rebounds, and a pair of blocks. Leandro Summers nailed five treys for 15 points while Anderson Black added 13 points, six rebounds, and four steals.

The Stags were led by Jarek Clinton. Clinton, a seven-foot center out of Stamford, Connecticut, hit all five field goal attempts and was perfect from the line as he scored 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Unfortunately, his efforts were not enough. David Sheridan was the only other Stag in double-figures as he ended with 10 points, four rebounds, six assists, and three steals.

The Mountaineers will face Saint Louis tomorrow. The Billikens defeated Robert Morris 68-39 to advance to the final round of the NIT Season Tip-Off A bracket.

BTW, this year's squad is the highest OVR team I've ever coached and also attained the highest preseason ranking. We'll see if they live up to expectations. It's kind of a championship or bust year, I feel. No pressure...

Tennessee is now mediocre this year after losing almost all over their players who got significant playing time, so at least they won't be standing in our way.

No. 3 West Virginia (3-0) will advance to New York to compete in the 2026 NIT Season Tip-Off! The Mountaineers earned the right by defeating Saint Louis (1-1) 81-62 this afternoon, handing the Billikens their first loss of the season.

West Virginia jumped out to an early lead and never looked back in this one. WVU led 48-34 at the half. The Mountaineers slumped a bit offensively in the second half, but they continued to play solid defense to stay firmly in the driver's seat.

D.C. Montgomery was WVU's leading scorer with 16 points, five rebounds, and three steals. Tre Welch added 15 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks while Leandro Summers added 11 points, three rebounds, and six assists.

No. 3 West Virginia (3-1) finally found its kryptonite. The dreams of an undefeated season are over for the Mountaineers, but they are still alive for No. 24 Alabama. The Crimson Tide (3-0) jumped out to an early lead and dominated most of the game against the heavily-favored Mountaineers, leading by as many as 19 points in the second half.

WVU mounted a furious comeback, but it was ultimately too little, too late as the Crimson Tide escaped with a huge 66-63 home victory over the Mountaineers.

WVU was careless with the ball, had a poor shooting night, and found themselves largely overmatched on the glass. 7'1" Alabama center Winston Evans was a huge reason why. Evans dominated the matchup against fellow WVU center Tre Welch. Evans ended the game with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Alabama's Spanky Price tallied 12 points, seven rebounds, and three steals while Kern Markovic added 11 points and four boards.

D.C. Montgomery led WVU with 15 points and four rebounds. Tre Welch added 12 points, five rebounds, and three blocks.

West Virginia will look to get back on track against a cupcake Harvard squad on Tuesday in Morgantown.

                              You confuse me.

When you post your record next to your game recap's do you post it with what it is after your game? Like #3 (3-0) vs (1-1) Saint Louis (so you were actually 2-0)

then in your next game you have it (3-1) WVU vs (3-0) Alabama. (meaning you have already included your loss)

Seems like it should read your record before your game not after.

Oh by the way I got a new flash drive for my 360 and downloaded the 2013-2014 roster set, so I started over.

I am going to try my best to duplicate the amazing job you have done by playing as many games as possible (my goal is 90%) and I am starting in your old stomping ground with Cornell in the Ivy League.
