Tough draw in the possible Elite Eight matchup, and nice additional storyline with the possible 2nd round game against San Fran. Definitely nice variety of teams in there now, from the classics like Duke and Ohio State to teams like Northwestern making it.

Good luck, always enjoy following your dynasty.

Nice to see them and WSU both in the tourney.

Crazy to see Utah State and BYU both do so well yet no see another WAC or MWC make the tourney.
Yeah, it was cool to see USF and Princeton in the tournament this year. The coaching tree builds!

Indeed. It looks like a fun tournament. The Sweet Sixteen matchup versus Louisville or Georgia Tech will likely be tough, as well.

And about the St. John's game box score... I didn't know that 35 + 37 = 69! Well, you learn something new every day.

You can have a medal when you bring James back from the dead

            Fuzzy math.......

            But I fixed it.

            Thanks for the read, BTW.

Haha, I might be off to the dead. I'll be back at some point, but it's hard to say when. I usually take a break from this game this time of year, though. I do have some updates ready to roll from awhile back, so maybe I'll post them soon.

Don't leave us hanging like that man. You gotta get through the big dance before you call it quits. Coach Frizzell needs another tourney win before he can retire!

Oh, I'm sure I'm not quitting. Just a pause. This is the only college basketball game I have and there's not another one coming out anytime soon, so when I get the itch for college basketball, this will always be my game of choice.

I just started grad school last week and I'm working a decent amount, so I'm a bit busy, but I'm sure I'll still be able to play some when I get around to it.

                    Yes.....

This is about the only franchise I've kept going longer than a few months in my entire life. I am kind of glad they never made another CH 2K game, actually. It allowed this to prosper much longer. It's also a testament to how great CH 2K's legacy mode is.

Since the EA NCAA Football series is now toast, as well, perhaps I'll start a long-running dynasty in that game eventually, though I haven't really played NCAA 14 since last year. Maybe I will during football season.

Agreed on all accounts. I played CH2k8 for about 4 years straight with my St. John's/SMU legacy. Had a great time with that, especially documenting it here on these forums, but the last time I went back to it I felt it was just too outdated. Love the game but would have killed for a new version to come out with the new NBA 2k graphics and engine.

As for NCAA 14, I always struggle with running a long term dynasty but with it being the last iteration of the game for the foreseeable future, I feel as though I owe it to myself to find legacy and stick with it for that game. Lord knows when we will ever get another game from that franchise.

I completely understand being busy with school. I'm starting again in a week and I know my spare time for video games will drop by a lot. Definitely looking forward to your return, but until then good luck with grad school!

Yeah, I have bought NBA 2K13 and 2K14 and I do enjoy them, though I still haven't had trouble going back to CH2k8 for whatever reason. The game definitely does play less fluidly, though. I'm a big NBA fan, but I always have a hard time getting into professional franchises on video games, though. The season being 82 games doesn't help and it doesn't feel realistic to play any less than that. Add to that my distaste for simulating games and it makes it quite hard!

Yeah, I've had a hard time getting any long-running EA NCAAF dynasties going. It's a game that I've bought every year, but the dynasty mode has honestly always left some to be desired, though to be fair I suppose they did make some advances during the last few years. I'll probably go back to it this fall and try to get something started. As it is the last one for awhile, I've got all the time in the world.

Yeah, thanks. I'm currently doing a two-week intensive course (mathametical economics) that "kicks off" graduate school in my program. There's nothing quite like having a midterm at the end of your first week of the class and your final exam at the end of the second week.

"Regular" classes start on August 18th (in a week). Of course, I've got work on the weekends (at least for now) and I will also start tutoring students some during the week starting in September.

                            March 19th, 2027

Tennessee-Martin (15-16) defeated Maine 67-60 in the play-in game, but they were in for a rough outing today and everyone knew it. #1 overall seed West Virginia (29-6) throttled the Skyhawks 80-45, as expected, to advance to the second round of the 2027 NCAA Tournament.

Coach Frizzell was able to get everyone involved in the blowout. Tre Welch led all scorers with 20 points, nine rebounds, and three assists. D.C. Montgomery added 12 points while Leandro Summers tallied 10 points,

Sidiki Lawson led Tennessee-Martin with seven points, seven rebounds, and four steals.

#9-seeded Richmond defeated #8-seeded San Francisco 73-70 earlier this afternoon. The Mountaineers will face Richmond in two days.
