That's the great thing about no more CH 2K games...I just kept on playing this one when the college basketball itch comes to me.

Re: Coaching Legacy of James Frizzell (CH 2K8)
So, apparently in order to get third party hosting for Photobucket, they now want to require users to fork over $400/year. I'm not going to do that, so I guess this legacy is going to continue on without images, at least for now.
EDIT: Or, I guess I can use the images from the dynasties.operationsports.com site I use to make the box scores. They're a little bigger than I'd like, but it works.Last edited by superjames1992; 08-06-2017, 01:17 PM.Comment

vs.
South Florida (11-9) vs. #7 West Virginia (16-3)
WVU Coliseum
Morgantown, WV
January 19th, 2033
Dedrick Packevicius had the game of his life this evening for West Virginia as the junior reserve scored a career-high 27 points and also nabbed five steals to lead No. 7 West Virginia (16-3, 6-1) past South Florida 79-59.
Packevicius' career day came at an opportune time as the rest of the team struggled to hit their shots. In fact, no other player shot over 40% from the floor and the rest of the team combined to shoot just 29% from the floor. Packevicius hit 7/8 from the field overall, 4/4 from three-point range, and 9/9 from the charity stripe.
"It was just one of those games where my shots were going in," said Packevicius in a postgame interview, with the look on his face clearly indicating he was not used to being in the limelight on this stage.
Skip Bradford was the only other Mountaineer to hit double-figures as he tallied a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double, but shot just 3/14 from the field.
Kevinn Hudson came off the bench to lead the Bulls (11-9, 3-3) in scoring with 13 points and four rebounds. Winston Grant also scored 12 points for USF.
West Virginia has five days off before their next game at Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana.

Re: Coaching Legacy of James Frizzell (CH 2K8)
Great win over USF. When your leading scorer is a bench player and your team still wins by 20 that says a lot about a teamComment

Re: Coaching Legacy of James Frizzell (CH 2K8)
Packevicius has generally been disappointing as a player thus far in his career, but he sure showed some promise against USF. Hopefully, we can get some more of that from him going forward.Comment

vs.
#7 West Virginia (16-4) vs. Notre Dame (12-5)
Edmund P. Joyce Center
Notre Dame, IN
January 25th, 2033
Notre Dame (12-5, 4-4) upset No. 7 West Virginia (16-4, 6-2) this evening 66-62 behind a strong defensive effort which held the Mountaineers to just 30% (21/70) shooting. The Fighting Irish led by as many as 14 points and held on by the skin of their teeth in the closing seconds as they escaped with a four-point win.
Myron DeLeon missed a go-ahead three-pointer from the elbow with four seconds left and the Fighting Irish up 64-62. DeLeon's shot was rebounded by Notre Dame's Brett Goodwin, who snagged his 13th rebound of the game and put the game away with two made free throws to put the Irish up by four with a second remaining.
Dwayne Carbaugh scored 17 points and tallied five steals to lead Notre Dame in scoring. Wayne Strickland added 15 points and seven rebounds and W.M. Kennedy scored 12 points from off the bench.
Shannon Edwards led West Virginia in scoring and rebounding with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Myron DeLeon was the only other double-digit scorer for the Mountaineers as he totaled 11 points and five rebounds, but shot just 4/15 from the field and 1/8 from three-point range.
"This was an embarrassing performance for us offensively," remarked West Virginia head coach James Frizzell after the game. "We played hard and played well defensively, but there's no excuse for some of the shots we were putting up. Our execution was a travesty and there's not any way to come away feeling good about this game."
The Mountaineers shot just 30% (21/70) from the floor and 22% (7/32) from three-point range. They did outrebound Notre Dame 44-35 and had a +4 margin in turnovers (14 to 10).
West Virginia will look to get back on track on Saturday at home against No. 19 Syracuse. The Orange have a 16-4 record and have won three consecutive games. They will look to win their fourth game in a row on Saturday in Morgantown.

vs.
#19 Syracuse (17-4) vs. #7 West Virginia (16-5)
WVU Coliseum
Morgantown, WV
January 29th, 2033
No. 7 West Virginia (16-5, 6-3) lost their second game in as many tries this evening as No. 19 Syracuse (18-4, 8-1) defeated the Mountaineers on their home floor 70-65.
Andrius Emmett scored 18 points and grabbed six rebounds for the Orange while Ron Ike added 17 points and seven rebounds. J.W. Kou also scored 10 points from off the bench.
The Orange led by one point at halftime and led by as many as 12 points in the second half before hanging on to win by five points in what was a closely contested game throughout.
For West Virginia, it was another rough game offensively as they shot just 34% (24/71) from the field and 20% (6/30) from three-point range. After shooting just 30% earlier this week in a loss at Notre Dame, it is a concerning sign for a West Virginia offensive attack which had a hot start to the year.
"Their 2-3 zone did a good job at keeping us out of the paint and we couldn't hit our open jump shots," explained West Virginia head coach James Frizzell. "If we aren't going to hit open jump shots, teams are going to start packing the paint and we'll be in big trouble. I hope it's just an anomaly, but this is the second game in a row we've had issues there, so it's a growing concern for us."
Monwell Weaver was one of the only Mountaineers who could hit an open jump shot this evening as the junior guard garnered career-high marks in scoring and steals with 20 points and five steals. Skip Bradford also had a nice double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Myron DeLeon scored 14 points, but did so on an efficient 6/18 shooting.
Next, West Virginia will head to Chicago to take on the DePaul Blue Demons on Tuesday to open up the month of February.
