I'm lighter than most people. It took serous effort to put on 40 pounds of muscle while cutting out the fat I had.
Tore my shoulder up twice (rotator cuff the first time, rotator/labrum/deltoid the second) during some random infantry training. 2 surgeries later and both of my shoulders still sublux/dislocate if I lift anything over 25 pounds, and it's been a couple years since my last surgery.badComment

For the majority of people (95% of the general population) anything over 45 minutes 3 times a week is a waste.
Remember, these are people. With jobs, families and time constraints. The laws of diminishing returns apply.
If I can put on the weight with that routine and a proper healthy diet, anyone can (or cut the fat while adding healthy weight.)badComment

Disagree all you want but if its going to cause you to continue to belittle and condescend your best bet is to just move along. Your tough guy attitude that you came into this thread with wont have you lasting here very long.Comment

Re: 2013 FITNESS CHALLENGE
Anyway, I don't spend more than 30-45 in the gym...I get the results that I'M looking for.
What the original poster was going for was the group who go and hang out in the gym. I know quite a few that go and talk and bs for 30-45, then work out for 30...and contend that they 'went ham for an hour and change.'Comment

I didn't belittle anybody in my first post. Or any post for that matter. I said his article was fear mongering.Comment

Re: 2013 FITNESS CHALLENGE
I have a friend who spends 2 hours in the gym on a regular basis.
I tried working out with him one day, but I couldn't. He likes to talk to everyone too much inbetween sets and it takes him too long to accomplish what I can do much faster. Granted, the dude is a beast and can throw around some weight. I just don't have the patience to work out with him.
I have to stay focused and get through with what I want to accomplish. Standing around just makes me lazy.Comment
