Do you re-import before every game?

Sorry but I'm not a fan of these stats. It looks like it was probably a fun game, but not from a realism standpoint.

Tied up with some work, but will have some potentially interesting developments to share this coming week.

I like the tackle stats. I'll try these out

Howdy Maddenites...

Had a break and thought I would drop in and update the community on developments:

1) Have been working on an ALL-MADDEN set....

2) Finished up some more theories on the best way to kill the CPU QB sack glitch, tame the robo QB consistently dumping passing underneath and to the flats, improved power running, controller pad button sensitivity and its impact on deep pass length, OL/DL line aggressiveness on run and pass plays, improved smoothness on game play, and improve stat accuracy....

Here are comments and opinions on additional findings and confirmations:

1) Penalties do matter and are PART of the key to addressing the CPU QB sack glitch

2) The robo QB issue has a direct connection with WR CTCH slider and is "tied at the hip" with the CPU QB sack glitch issue

3) The slider setting for HUM QB ACC, DOES HAVE a linear relationship with HUM QB length on deep throws. This is disappointing because I do not recall that in previous Maddens that a low QB setting would in essence cause a long, deep, "bomb" pass, to consistently feel under-thrown with no zip or air underneath the pass. I tested Brady, Stafford, Rodgers, Cutler, among others, on straight fly routes, where the WR had at least a step of clearance on the CB, and at a low QB ACC setting, the pass COULD never be overthrown, thus allowing the WR to catch up to it. Instead, the bomb was was ALWAYS under-thrown, with so much air under it, that the beat CB actually had to come back to the ball and often could intercept it or swat it away. This blows.

3) The CPU sack glitch issue CAN BE FIXED, in fact, practically eliminated, however........ Sacrifices have to be made.... If you are willing to live with hardly, if any, CPU WR drops, sacks primarily coming from LB's & DB's on blitz packages, rather than 3 or 4 man rushes with the DT's and DE's getting the sack, then my upcoming slider brew will be of interest to you....

4) The CPU robo QB issue CAN BE FIXED, and in fact I have been able to get the CPU QB to better consider/read his progressions however........ Sacrifices have to be made.... If you are willing to live with hardly, if any, CPU WR drops, the occasional odd looking throw (CPU QB able to get get rid of the ball as he is being sacked), occasional ridiculously inaccurate throws from the CPU QB (horrendously bad throws underneath and in the flat), then my upcoming slider brew will be of interest to you....

5) The offensive/defensive line interaction on run/pass plays, and the aggressiveness of the RB's can be tuned to be BEAST MODE... Mauling, pancaking, road-grading holes being blasted open, earnest effort by the AI to properly set up walls of blockers on tosses and sweeps, RB's making aggressive cuts when the hole opens, RB's lowering their shoulder and fighting for yards, broken tackles, eliminating cheap one arm tackles from DB's on beast runners, etc....However, sacrifices need to be made.... If you can live with a limited number of fumbles, then my upcoming slider brew will be of interest to you....

Sliders are being played by my posse and hope to have some feedback soon from them that I can analyze and polish the slider brew for the OS community to consider, criticize and comment on....

Stay tuned....

P.S. The ALL-Madden set has incorporated ZERO settings that some Maddenites have bombed my PM about regarding the pass blocking and run blocking settings.

Re: the Good, the Bad and the Ugly; theSliderWhizperer’s M15 - GAME CHANGER SLIDERS

Whiz,

Hey man, good to have you back! A quick question for you, if I may.

I am on last gen M15, but many of the slider concepts are interchangeable. I have my own custom set that I am very pleased with, but for one last pesky item.

There is a tackling glitch, whereby a ball carrier will be approached by a defender at the proper angle, but then just as contact should be made and the tackle animation triggered, the defender will squat and run off in another direction. A tackle attempt is not even made. I am playing on All Madden, but I have also seen it on All Pro.

This happens most often when a ball carrier is running near the sideline, but I have seen it toward the middle of the field as well. The glitches tackle attempts come mainly from the safeties, with the occasional corner falling victim as well. This happens to both user and CPU defenders. The glitch usually results in a score on the play.

Have you seen this problem in next gen M15 as well? I have been messing with a combination of TACK, PCI, and RTK to remedy the issue. I think I have mitigated the issue somewhat, but not completely eliminated it.

I am thinking it's just busted code at this point and I will need to move away from my no switch playing style and make the tackle myself. When the CPU defender gets glitched on a tackle attempt on my player, I just run out of bounds. Sad we have to play this way.....

Thanks in advance for your observations/insights.

My brudda from annudda mudda...

How have you been dog? Still keeping the streets safe for us? Diggity-dog it's good to hear from ya....

Regarding your tackle glitch issue, I can't say that I have seen exactly what you have described. What I have seen is that sometimes a game file will get corrupted and the game play will get real "glitchy", in fact, it happens more often than not after you have been tweaking the sliders and constantly restart games to test your slider mods... Have you considered creating a new game file and then incorporating your slider mods to the new game file?

I have seen weird tackling animations, or better stated, LACK OF tackling from DB's regarding one-on-one tackles in the open field, not sure if that is what you are referring to? In fact, consider playing where YOU DO switch to the nearest tackling HUM defender and attempt to tackle CPU ball carrier with the "X" button or square button, and let me know what happens... This interests me because I have encountered some odd tackling crap in my lab more often than not where the tackle animation does not trigger or is delayed and the CPU ball carrier keeps running, and yes typically it is for touchdowns...It's not a squat and turn to a different direction per se, but it does look like the HUM defensive player is taking a sudden dump in his trunks ....

Also, I am curious where you have your FACEMSK slider set at? Personally, I am a fan of gang tackling, because it better represents what happens on Monday's, Thursday's and Sunday's on my flatty, to bring down the ball carrier. If you'd like, drop me a copy of your slider mods and I can give them a quick look over to see if I see some some areas that could create some "harmony and balance" issues (I am a big proponent of harmony and balance as you well know)...

Thanks man. Not sure I am technically proficient enough to create a new game file without losing all my CFM shizz- don't trust EA or myself- but I will look into that. Yeah, maybe a full on squat by the defender isn't the word, but a slight crouch maybe? I wonder if we are in fact seeing the same thing.....

I have FM at 56 currently. I will PM you my full set a bit later. It would be awesome if you could see if anything jumps out at you.

Much appreciated Whiz!
