I think something many people forget when it comes to correct amount of plays is the fact that in the NFL there is quite a bit of "hurry up" offense.

My guess is that most of us rarely use this in madden when not using acc clock because you can get in and out of the actual "huddle" way quicker than IRL.

If you are an up-tempo team you should be using hurry up/no huddle to enhance that, therefore getting more offensive plays.

However, if you have a balanced attack like one poster wrote 34 passes 33 runs, your time of possession should be much greater than your opponent and plays per game should be far less than the NFL avg of 120-130.

Just food for thought, and maybe some of you actually DO use the hurry up offense rather than maddens quick huddle.

I never get close to the nfl average. But I also run the ball 40-50 times a game. I think my last game against the Ravens I had 53 rushes and about 16 pass attempts. I almost doubled their TOP

Well I am playing with exact settings on OP and I enjoy it so much better then what I had! I have managed in my second half of the season in year 2 with my Rams to be sitting at 9-5 fighting for a playoff spot. The Seahawks are 11-3 and the cardinals are 10-4 and I sit at third while the 49ers are 5-9. My rookie star QB has gone down with season ending injury of broken collarbone and if he was to comeback, it would be the Super Bowl. He finished with a good rookie campaign of 2,683 yards 19 TD 13 picks, sacked 19 times, and completed 66.7% of his passes. He was hurt on and off this year due to poor offensive lineman. I have the number 1 ranked defense and the 26th offense. You could basically say the defense wins me everything. I have dropped 3 games to the Dolphins 24/-27 (OT ) Seahawks 23-24 and cardinals 13-33. I just came off a complete domination of killing the 49ers 3-45. Looking forward to finishing the season in Carolina facing Newton and his 6-7-1 team then going back home to the 49ers one last time. But with my QB gone and my backup is Drew Staton, Nick foles, and RG3 I think there isn't much help but pound the rock with Gurley and let the defense play like it has been!!!

I don't really consider it being fixiated, I'm just trying to play a SIM style game...I'm looking to get everything as close as possible to the real thing, that would include the amount of plays ran.
