Re: 2011 New York Yankees

I think Nova is going to be like that the entire year for the Yanks. He's has good stuff, but he just learned the craft yet. It'll come.

How about the bottom third of the order? Grandy, Martin and Chavez raked today and single-handedly (triple-handedly?) beat the snot of out Bucholz, which is ALWAYS nice to see.

Looking forward to the rubber game tonight, living up here in Boston as a Yanks fan you don't get to see many games...looking into investing in MLB.tv

AJ looked good tonight. Not really putting much weight on what happened in the 7th. I think Joe should have taken him out after Wieters bomb.

In other news Feliciano has damaged shoulder which could require surgery. Great to be paying $8 million to a pair of overworked LOOGY's who won't throw a pitch this year. You would think they would have learned after what happened to Marte. Still don't understand why they didn't give someone like Randy Choate a cheap 1 year deal.

2-hit game for The Captain. Does this mean Kevin Long is overrated now that Jeter has returned to his old swing?

ARod going opposite field is a thing of beauty.

Re: 2011 New York Yankees

Feliciano has a torn capsule in his shoulder, which is the same injury Wang had 2 years ago. I hope this ends the multiyear contracts to veteran relievers.

The Feliciano deal wasn't bad. $8 MM/ 2 years is a great signing.

I think the Yankees are past the 3 year big dollar deals unless the Brothers step in. (Soriano)

It was the workload he had that worried me. Led the majors in appearances over the last 3 years by a fairly large margin. They were taking a big risk that he would stay healthy.

Phil Hughes is still broken. Don't know what they are going to do with him. I'm not sure this problem is going to be helped by moving him to the bullpen. Maybe skip his next start, see how he is after that and then option him to AAA if he is still getting tattoed.

I am convinced something is not right with him physically. When he came up he was hitting 96. Last year he was in the 94-96 range. He is barely touching 90 right now. Either a serious dead arm or something more serious, but he's not right.

Yea, something is wrong with him. A 24-year-old shouldn't just lose velocity and control all of a sudden. If he's hiding something...well, not like I could do anything but be upset, I guess.
